A Class II hitch would use a 1-1/4 inch receiver, for a 2 inch receiver tube you'd want a Class III hitch.

We offer two US Made Class III hitches that I'd recommend, the # 13555 from Curt or the # 306-X7291 from EcoHitch. Both hitches share the same 3500 lb gross trailer weight capacity. The Curt has a tongue weight capacity of 350 lbs while the EcoHitch has a capacity of 525 lbs. The primary difference between the two is that the EcoHitch model installs so the majority of the hitch is concealed behind the bumper and fascia so only the receiver tube and the safety chain loops are visible, where the Curt # 13555 would be fully visible as shown in the photos. Because of the way it installs, the EcoHitch model would require that the bumper cover be removed which adds a fair amount of complexity to the installation.

Because of the easier installation and because of the fact that the Curt # 13555 is significantly less expensive, that's what I'd recommend unless you completely hate how visible the hitch is or you need the extra tongue weight. I've provided a photo showing how both hitches appear once installed.

If you'll be towing with the hitch, I'd you'll also need a ball mount, trailer ball and trailer wiring harness. For the ball mount and ball, I'd recommend the # C45010 ball mount and the # 19260 for the 1-7/8 inch or # 63845 for the 2 inch trailer ball. For the wiring harness, use # 118427.

Either hitch attaches to the vehicle using nuts that are welded up into the frame members. Because your vehicle has a few years on it, there's likely quite a bit of corrosion and road gunk built up in the threads. I'd recommend using an M10x1.25 thread tap to clean those threads out and make the installation easier.
