Does the EcoHitch Trailer Hitch for a 2008 Honda CR-V Require Rear Bumper Trimming
Question:
Does the bumper cover need to be modified during the install of the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch - 306-X7291? For example, do holes need to be drilled or pieces removed to make room for the hitch receiver?

The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7291 which is a fit for a 2008 Honda CR-V does indeed require trimming of the rear bumper fascia but no drilling. I have attached a photo of the required trimming for you which as you can see is very minor and there is even an included trim cover to place over the trimmed portion of the bumper which makes for a very clean install.
Unfortunately, the draw back of the hidden install look and maintained ground clearance is trimming of the rear bumper fascia. If you don't mind having a more visible trailer hitch or reduced clearance then you can go with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13555 which doesn't require any fascia trimming.
