I have attached the installation instructions of the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7291 for a 2008 Honda CR-V to this answer page for you. In regards to installation, this is a bolt-on fit with a very clean finished install look. It has a hidden crosstube so you only see the receiver tube once installed. Please note, you do need to trim the rear bumper fascia for installation but this is because of the hidden design. If you don't want to trim then I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75547 buy you'll lose the hidden design aspect.
If you will be towing a trailer then you'll also need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118427 along with the etrailer Ball Mount Kit part # 989900.
