Video Transcript for Deka Wiring 05731-5 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the five pack of 16 to 14 gauge butt connectors. These vinyl insulated blue butt connectors have a wire range of 16 to 14 gauge. The wire gauge, you can see it fits, is actually stamped on here. They do use chamfered barrel ends in the inside to allow fast and easy wire insertion from both ends. The very middle has a built in wire stop for accurate positioning of the wires and these must be crimped at the ends for a good insulated connection, and this part comes as a quantity of five. But, that should do it for the review on the five pack of the 16 to 14 gauge butt connectors..

I ordered a Ventline Vanair RV vent fan. It arrived on time and in good shape. I believe I paid a fair price for this item. I have not yet installed the fan, but have no reason to suspect it will not be the exact replacement for the defective one in my Airstream. I also purchased the butt connectors to hook up the fan during installation.

Not water tight silicone butt connectors wouldn't use these

While we dont have butt connectors designed to be water tight, we do have heat-shrink butt connectors like part # DW05744-5 as well as primary wire heat shrink tubing # DW05451. The heat shrink design is intended to help keep as much water as possible out of the wiring connection.

Wanted to upgrade my trailer to LED tail lights during an overhaul an new flooring. After stopping at 4 auto supply stores that carried the brand I wanted but only stocked the most expensive ones the company offered, I went to etrailer an stopped wasting my time.
Exactly what I wanted. Priced honestly, and delivered quickly.
Won't waste the time & gas next time. Just come back to etrailer an be completely satisfied.

Used to wire a Tekonsha Primus brake controller to a 2009 Porsche Cayenne S. Worked perfectly.

by:

What can I say? they work and are inexpensive. I had to find something to add to my order to get from 149.90 to go over the 150.00 to get free shipping, and if you own a trailer, it's always a good idea to have these in your toolbox!

by:

  • Wiring Needed to Rewire a Trailer for Lights and Electric Brakes
The # A40W5B has a blue wire that is only 5 feet long. Plus, the blue wire is only 18 gauge and 20 gauge, respectively. So these are not going to work for your application. What you're going to want to use is Bonded 4 Wire # 16-4B-1 which is sold by the foot. This will provide the four 16 gauge wires to run from the junction box, part # 277-000141, to your trailer's lights. Then for the brakes you will want a 10 gauge wire, # 10-1-1, which is also sold by the foot. In addition, you...

You can adapt your trailer that has separate bulbs for turn and brake/running lights for use with your Sedona with 4-pole by installing converter # 118158. This converter will mount on your trailer and you'll need to use a junction box like # 38656 to protect it from the elements. You will need ring terminals like # DW05702-1 to make the connections within the junction box; this is where the converter wiring will meet the trailer wiring. The three wires (white, green and yellow) on the...

  • Can I Install a Third Brake Camper Taillight to My 7-Way Wiring Harness?
I went ahead an brought this to my attention to my fellow experts, and while you cannot wire your third brake light directly into your 7-way wiring harness like the # ETBC7 on your 2000 Toyota Tacoma, you can wire it directly to the brake light wiring you currently have installed. In order to determine what wire you need to splice into, you I recommend using a circuit tester like the # PTW2993 to find the correct ones. Also, you most likely need more 16-gaguge wiring # 16-1-1 and heat-shrink...

  • Wiring Installation For The Jensen JWM40/JWM41 RV Stereo
The Jensen RV Stereo # JWM40 is the same thing as the JWM41, just different item codes on our end. Most likely you will use every wire from the wiring harness, but for any wires that you don't use you can either leave them alone or use some electrical tape to cap them off. These wires will not put off anything that could potentially zap you or burn down your RV so there's no need to worry. I've attached the wiring diagram below which will tell you the function of each wire based on their...

Thank you for your purchase from etrailer.com! The Optronics Sealed, 6-1/2 Inch Oval LED Trailer Stop, Turn, and Taillight # STL78RB that you purchased will need to be hardwire installed on your trailer. You will want to connect the light to your trailer's wiring by function. You can use a circuit tester, like # PTW2993, to determine the functions of your trailer wiring. The white wire on the light will need to be grounded. I recommend running the light ground back to the main trailer...

If you are unable to find a hole or grommet large enough for the 4-Way flat to fit through, you are left with 3 options. First, you can just leave the harness inside the vehicle and pull it out through the rear hatch as described in the instructions. Or, you could also drill out a hole using a 2 inch hole saw. • Troubleshooting Trailer Lights Staying on Constantly
There are a couple of reasons why your trailer lights may be staying on constantly, starting with a corroded connector. What corrosion does is cause a short which can lead to the lights staying on, and when you unplug the connectors they would, of course, turn off. So start by checking there, and if you can't clean the corrosion, you can replace the connectors on either the side of your Transit or trailer. I'm not sure if you have a 4-way or 7-way but if you have the factory tow package...

From what I can see of photos I looked up of your trailer, they all seem to be surface-mounted lights, so here is a list of what you can use. - GloLight...

I did some checking but could not find an extension cable for Replacement Digital Wall-Mounted Thermostat # AT15029. The wiring would have to be extended the old fashioned way; by splicing in wires. I recommend using jacketed wire # DW03240-1 and butt connectors # 05731-5.
