1-Year Worry-Free Guarantee

This tire has a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.

Bias Tires vs. Radial Tires

Bias vs. radial tire graphic

Bias ply tires are designed for off-road or agricultural applications. They are built with thick, durable nylon cords that are positioned at a 30- to 45-degree angle to the direction of travel. The layers alternate in a crisscross pattern, making the sidewalls stiffer so that the entire tire is able to flex easily. As a result, the tire provides a smooth ride and improved handling when trailering on uneven surfaces.

Beveled Stud Holes

Beveled Stud Holes Front and Back

The stud holes on this steel wheel are beveled to ensure that the wheel stays tight against your trailer hub. This also eliminates the need to constantly retorque the lug nuts.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Chinese crap, will see how long it will last before blowing up. The price was affordable for what I was going for. The foot print is narrower than a GoodYear Endurance 205/75/14.

by:

We put these on a flatbed that only gets use about once every 2 weeks, but we have had no issues with them through the first year

by:

Great wheel and tire combo. Looks great and has nice tread, it's perfect for my trailer. Looks so much better tgan the factory 1986 wheel and tire combo.

by:

I have not had time to install , but customer service could not have been better. Please thank everyone !!

by:

Surprisingly fast delivery. Exactly what I ordered.

by:

As always great product and communications with etrailer! Have bought many times through them. Fast shipping with fair prices!!

#1 This site is dynamite! I needed 6 tires for my Boat Trailer, and I must tell you the information given to my son & I was outstanding. We were able to go to the Boat Dealer handling our "very used trailer" and He was able to give us the useful measurements we needed to get the most accurate tire size.

The Customer Service is OUT of THIS WORLD!!!!!

I wish every Company I encounter would be 1/2 as great as these people!

We got the Tires immediately UPS! I was amazed!

I have already told so many guys about your site and for anyone needing any items associated with TRAILERS, YOU ARE THE FOLKS!!!!

Your site was a fabulous find!

Thank YOU !!!!!!

Sincerely,
Ken

I would go and get your tires spin balanced. All 5 of mine were out of balance as expected and 60 dollars cured all of that. It will provide for a better ride for your RV and certainly help to eliminate any vibration.

Perfect! Fast shipping! Will shop aga in!!!

I mistakenly ordered the wrong wheel for my trailer and the return fee was way to much. I am stuck with a tire and wheel I can’t use. Should have ordered from someplace that would have accepted a return at no cost!!

by:

Is a tire, and a rum, and works as a spare. Quite pricey, but they had it, I needed it, and I paid the price..

by:

I put these tires on a 1960 utility trailer. It was a former U hall trailer before they went to all metal trailers. It is 5'X 8' with 30" high sides. It's great to move heavy furniture, mulch, and dirt. I needed new tires and rims. I found this website to be informative, easy to order, excellent prices and very fast delivery. I love the look of the new set on the trailer and the ride and tracking is much better. I highly recommend this web site

by:

Exactly what I was looking for and it was exactly as shown and described on the website. Product arrived on time and the price was very competitive. I will definitely order from etrailer in the future for my trailer needs.

I bought this rim and tire as a spare for my trailer. I havent had to use it yet thankfully so I cant rate it as far as how its holding up under use. I can say that the quality looks as good as what came on the trailer.

by:

I'm updating a 16' utility trailer I purchased in 1991. I placed an ordered for five AM3S862 tires and wheels. They arrived in two days and were just perfect to finish the project. I've had the trailer on two short runs for material and it handles great. I will be ordering from etrailer.com again.

by:

Arrived quickly and met all expectations. Took advantage of the free shipping, which wasn't cheap for a tire and wheel combo this size and weight. Best deal going in regards to getting a spare tire and wheel for my trailer. Will purchase my next one here too.

by:

This purchase extended the life of our cargo trailer which has made several long haul trips for us without any issues. The eTrailer experience has been great!

by:

The Tire and Rim were received via UPS on schedule. They look great. FYI, it will be used as a spare for my small utility trailer. Unfortunately the trailer is not here so I am unable to verify it fits OK (it should). I will do this in a couple of weeks. Thank you E-Trailer, I had quotes from local tire dealers for nearly double the price you advertised. This was ridiculous, they obviously didn't want to be bothered or do business with me.

by:

Item was great but had to return because trailer purchase didn’t happen. Cost to return was $60 for a $170 item. Ended up selling locally at a significant loss. Make sure there isn’t a possibility you’ll need to return or etrailer will make you pay dearly.

by:

It's a spare trailer tire, so it hasn't been used, but the tire and rim are of good quality and are what I ordered. Competitive prices and quick shipping. would order from them again.

by:

The etrailer website was easy to use. The tires mounted on rims were delivered in days and were ontime, were well packaged, and were what I expected. I would order from etrailer again and recommend them.

by:

I ordered one tire and wheel, just to make sure of the quality. It was delivered in just a few days. I placed it on my trailer and it worked so well, I placed another order of two more. Again the shipping was extremely fast. I order it on a Tuesday and 2 days later, it had arrived. I'm very happy with the service, shipping, and quality of the tires and wheels.

by:

Tires and wheels arrived in two days very fast, great price and quality is as described would highly recommend etrailer to all who need tires and wheels in a timely manner. Quality and service in the time of need.

by:

I bought these tires & rims for my husband and he is thrilled with them. The quality of both the tire & rims are excellent and we received them very quickly. Now all we have to do is get in the truck & go boating. Thank you!

by:

I ordered on Thursday and 3 tires arrived on Saturday and 1 tire arrived on Monday, a little odd but I still received them much faster than expected. Packaging was great!

by:

Finding, ordering and receiving the tire I ordered was a snap, will use e-trailer in the future and forward my satisfaction to relatives and friends in need of great prices and service from e-trailer. I needed a spare tire quickly, that is what I got.

  • Recommended Spare Wheel And Tire For Trailer With 7.60-15 Tires
I was able to find that the 7.60-15 tires you have on your tear trailer cross reference to the 225/75/15 tires. With that said we have quite a few options with the 225/75/15 tire and a 15" wheel with 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. The most important thing is to find if your current tires are bias ply or radials, and make the spare the same type. Mixing radials and bais ply tires causes a very unstable ride. If your tires are bias ply I recommend taking a look at the Loadstar ST225/75D15...

  • Safe Distance Between Tire and Floor of Trailer when Upgrading to 15 Inch Tires
The rule of thumb when building a trailer is that you should allow 1.5 inches deflection at rated capacity of the spring for approximate full load dimension ( the spring can flatten out as much as 1-1/2 inches ). Then add 3 inches above tires beyond that point for maximum clearance.

  • Can I Change Trailer Tire Sizes Without Changing Wheels
I'll start this off by saying that you'll want to make sure that you have sufficient clearance from your trailer frame to determine if you can upgrade in tire size from 205/75r15 to 225/75r15; there is roughly 1.2" difference between the two tires but when you take into consideration the 3" to 4" required to allow for suspension clearance it may become an issue. Additionally, you're correct in assuming that upgrading to a 225/75r15 tire would required upgrading to a wider wheel-which it...

  • Are the Trailer Wheel and Tire Combinations Balanced
The trailer tire and wheel combination # AM3S862 is received from the supplier already with the tire mounted on the wheel. The supplier does not balance the combination, but when the tire is installed to the wheel they will line the high (heavy) spot on the tire with the low (light) spot on the wheel. This does not completely balance the tire and wheel combination but it does eliminate any excessive out of balance condition. I would recommend to balance the tire and wheel combination at...

  • Are Light Truck Tires Okay to Use on Travel Trailer
Typically, you'll want to use trailer tires only on a travel trailer but the exception would be some of the larger sizes, like 15 or 16 inch. It's fairly common to use Light Truck tires for the larger sizes because they're more readily available than trailer tires in that size are. I'd recommend you find the ID tag on your travel trailer, which will list the recommended tire size. If they recommend 235/75-15LT, then your current size truck tire is just fine.

  • How to Determine Weight Capacity of RV with Higher Rated Suspension and Tire/Wheels
When you are talking about weight capacity you are limited to the least rated component in your setup. You are correct that the weight capacity of the frame needs to be taken into account as well as using tires, axles, leaf springs, and hubs with higher weight capacities. You can typically find the weight capacity of the frame itself stamped into the frame or on a sticker or label on the frame. • Increasing Rim/Tire Size From 8 to 12 or 13
As long as the larger wheel you choose has a compatible bolt pattern with your hub, you have sufficient clearance between the tire and the fender, and you do not exceed the weight capacity of the hub you can switch up to a larger wheel with no problem. If you wanted to go from a hub with a 5 on 4-1/2 to a 5 on 5 bolt pattern I can check for something compatible, if you would provide me with the inner and outer bearing and grease seal reference numbers.

  • Can a Trailer Wheel with Larger Diameter Pilot Hole be Used on the Same Hub
The pilot hole diameter only matters in one of two scenarios: First, if the wheel secures to the hub using bolts instead of lug nuts then the pilot hole has to be exact because that is how it centers on the hub. Second, if the wheel secures to the hub using lug nuts but the wheel pilot hole is too small, it just will not fit on the hub.
