Exactly what I needed. Now able to add storage box and still pull tow Dolly.

Works great, pull out tow dolly with small SUV. Also pull 14’ flatbed trailer hauling my Kawasaki Mule.

by:

Etrailer’s customer is actually customer service. There’s real people who are there to help. Kate helped me get my order the next day after I realized I accidentally switched the billing and shipping addresses on the order form.

Still works the same as when I purchased it.

by:

This 2"/4" drop for the 2" hitch receiver is heavy duty, and well welded. I bet the customer service is top notch. I've bought from e trailer before and never had a problem, so never needed customer service. Delivered when expected. I will again buy from this company without any worries.

by:

I first went with a ridged brand that had a recall the sent me a replacement (I used the original for approximately one year with no problems)the replacement hitch bent immediately and when I contacted ridged they blamed my driving habits since receiving the roadmaster I’ve added a heavier vehicle and a very heavy spare tire rack and no problems

by:

I contacted etrailer and spoke with Terri N. I had previously purchased on 3 separate occasions another brand of dual hitch (none from etrailer) which all bent when pulling my 2018 Jeep Wrangler behind our 2014 Fleetwood Bounder 35K Motorhome with a Hollywood bike frame carrying 2 Rad Power e-bikes. Apparently, we were using the wrong adaptor. She was VERY helpful with information, discouraging more than 1 hitch adaptor and recommended the 10,000 pound dual hitch receiver with a 2-4 in drop/rise. So far, it seems to be working fine. My only concern is that there is not enough clearance to fold up my Blue Ox tow bar while connected to the hitch. Also, the front of the Jeep bumper is VERY close to the bike rack upon turning the Motorhome.

by:

Very impressed with the quality of this hitch adaptor! I have purchased many items from etrailer and never disappointed!!!

by:

Wanted to be able to combine tow hitch and bike hitch. This required a 2" drop and a 4" rise with a 10K lb capability. Etrailer.com came thru with product, price, special free shipping, and great customer service. Ordered on Sun and received on Wed and installed on Thur and ready to go!

After 1 year this product is still working as day 1.

by:

I bought the dual hitch to allow me to carry my bike rack at the same time be able to leave my tow hitch attached. It works great!

Excellent option to add a bicycle rack when towing. Easy to use. Well made. I highly recommend.

by:

Indescribable/rugged a little on the heavy side but that’s what you need to take the abuse of pulling up to 10000#s

by:

Well built

by:

Its great, showed a lot of people. Every one i showed said they want one.

by:

Item is well made and will provide more flexibility with having a bike rack hitch and towing hitch at the same time.

by:

This was a change to ensure it met the 10K tow capacity of the Roadmaster system. The bike rack and the tow system are a little close so considering another extension for the Roadmaster system to allow a little more clearance when turning.

by:

Love it !
Only one I`ve found that fits
my need with both upper & lower receivers having a strong tow rating.

by:

Great product, works as expected.

by:

Thank you . Easy order. Shipped fast. Product is strong. I always get a good experience with E-Trailer.

by:

Good quality and heavy duty. Will work great being able to tow my jeep with the bike rack on top.

by:

Great product and well built. Easy access on their website with fast shipment.

by:

Exactly what I needed. Our A class motorhome sits higher than our ex-C class did and angles the toad pull line too much, thus the 4" drop. When pulling our little fishing boat we had no where for our e-bikes, thus the 2" rise. All should be perfect now. Next problem is June and first of July is completely booked with family stuff. Can't test anything until July 12th, 2023. Going fishing. Will update if a problem but I cannot forsee one.

by:

This dual hitch receiver was exactly what we needed as it allows us to pull our tow vehicle behind our RV and also carry our bike rack between the RV and the tow vehicle. The dual hitch receiver is very heavy-duty and very well constructed.

Still working great one year later!!

by:

Needed a drop hitch for the Falcon 2 tow bar to get within the specified 3" variance off level as specified by Roadmaster. Also, we wanted to have the second receiver for a hitch mounted bike carrier. Problems solved! Thanks etrailer!

8/23/2018

Still performing and doing the job of bicycle hitch and hitch for the Falcon II tow bar.

by:

Product has worked great. I use it to tow a vehicle behind my Motorhome on the lower hitch and carry two heavy electric bikes on a bike carrier on the top hitch. I have put more than 15000 miles on it so far without any issues.

Leo S.

3/12/2020

Still working perfectly after more than 20K miles and more than a year on the road

by:

Works exactly as advertised. Lets me put my bikes behind the coach and in front of the Jeep we tow. 8000 miles and no issues at all. Heavy duty unit will not disappoint!

by:

Our new double 10000lbs rating receiver is perfect on our class a. Now can 4wheel down tow our Honda crv and put our bike carrier on the same receiver with plenty of clearance for the sharpest of turns. Very well made nice piece of equipment. Great service and with pin purchase and receiver, free shipping.

Jeff

1/25/2020

works great. use it all the time to haul our bikes and tow a car with our rv

by:

Received my 4 inch hitch adapter almost two weeks ago. Finally had the time to install and test it on my RV. The adapter fits great and the welds look very well done. The 4 inch drop along with my blue ox’s 4 inch drop are the perfect combination for my tow package. I plan to add a new bicycle carrier in the near future and this adapter was chosen with that in mind.

James

1 year usage and still great purchase for towing my Mini Cooper. I love the versatility of adding my bike carrier in front of the toad vice being on back of towed car.

  • How To Use the Hollywood Racks RV Rider on RV with Flat Towed Vehicle
To answer your first question, no. All Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter like the # RM-077-4 are going to be rated for use with bike racks like the Hollywood Racks # HLY64FR and you aren't going to effect their performance or safety rating of the adapter. So you absolutely can use it for this purpose. As for the Hollywood Racks RV Rider 2 # HLY64FR, this is one of the few hitch mounted bike racks that have been tested by the manufacturer and approved for use on the backs of RVs, 5th Wheel trailers...

  • Hitch Adapter to Raise Cargo Carrier by 3-4 Inches
What you're describing is called a high-low adapter. They work very well keeping the tow bar level when you're flat towing a vehicle, but they can also be used for elevating a hitch mounted accessory. Another option would be the Roadmaster # RM-077-4 dual hitch receiver offers the rise you're looking for. The pin hole to pin hole dimension is 10-1/4 inches which is slightly longer that you wanted, but it should work just fine for you. A third alternative, the Curt # D-192 offers a bit...

We have actually reached out to Roadmaster and verified that the Dual Hitch Receiver # RM-077-4 can indeed be used with a tow dolly. This has a total towing capacity of 10,000 ls and has a tongue weight rating of 400 lbs. So if you can verify that the weight of your motorcycle and carrier is less than 400 lbs this would work well for you.

  • Length of Shank on the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter #RM-077-4
I went out to the warehouse and measured from the center of the hitchpin hole to the back of the 4 inch rise on the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, part #RM-077-4. That measurement is 6-3/4 inches so it will be close, you will need to measure from the center of your hitch pin hole to the farthest out part of the bumper to determine if dual receiver will work for your towing setup. The measurement is the same to the back of the 2 inch rise opening. The overall length of this item...

  • Can Blue Ox Tow Bar be Used with Swagman Dispatch Bike Rack behind RV
The Swagman Dispatch part # S44FR is an RV approved bike rack so it would work well at the rear of an RV like what you mentioned. • Recommendation for Carrying Scooter Either Behind RV or Jeep Wrangler Flat Towed by it
Assuming the carrier has the clearance needed to fit past the spare mounted at the back of your 2006 Jeep Wrangler the best option would be mount it on the Wrangler with a hitch like the # 75193 when we installed this rack on a 2006 Jeep Wrangler we found that it had a distance of 6-1/4 inches from the hitch pin hole to the furthest point out on the spare. Most scooter carriers are not rated for the rougher ride quality that is present at the rear of RVs is why the first option you listed...

  • Bike Rack Recommendation for an RV Flat Towing a Honda Fit
The best option I could recommend for you would be to get a shank mounted bike rack that you could attach to the 6 inch drop adapter you currently have. This would not require the use of an additional adapter that would reduce capacity and would also allow you to tow your setup at it's current height. For a bike rack you would want the Swagman Traveler XCS Bike Rack part # S64663. Check out the review video I attached.

If you need to just be able to flat tow the Eclipse and use your existing bike rack at the same time then you can use a dual hitch receiver such as # RM-077-4 with a 4 inch rise/drop or # RM-077-2 with a 2-1/4 inch rise/drop.
