Great product

Great part!!!

I love the product not just for the obvious reasons such as it’s extremely durable and well made for safety but specifically for length of the arm. The arm length is just long enough to clear my hitch rack walls, which allowed me to plug in my bike rack. I would certainly recommend this product to others. I haven’t seen any marketing for this specific use case so have at it.

by:

I’ve been using this product every day for over a year at this point. On the back of our Class C RV it supports a bike rack carrying 3 bikes (one is a heavy eBike) and a Roadmaster tow bar, which connects to a Jeep Wrangler when we travel. It provides the need height for the bike rack and the drop needed for the tow bar to be level with front of the Jeep. We are full time RVers, so it gets a lot of use. It has worked perfectly and remains in new condition.

by:

This dual hitch receiver adapter is a vital part of my RVing equipment. It allows me to have my toad pulled by my motor home using the lower part of the receiver and also to mount my bikes or fishing cart on the upper part of the receiver. This arrangement gives adequate space vertically and I have no trouble maneuvering around turns. I highly recommend the helpful personnel at etrailer who helped answer my questions about which receiver adapter was best for my application.

by:

Excellent service, good prices and super fast shipping. 2 different orders arrived in 2 days! Thanks for everything eTrailer and William!

Works great for being able to put our bikes between the RV and the truck we tow.

Still works great and Roadmaster stood behind the product when we had an issue with it. Very pleased!

@Martha We're happy to hear that Roadmaster took good care of you!

by:

Fits very well on the RV. Sturdy and should tow the truck very well, while holding the bike rack above.

by:

Hitch fits to loose inside the receiver. Anything I can get to remedy this issue? Thank you.

by:

Great product. I was able reposition our bikes in conjunction with our tow bar easily.

by:

very well made..works great

by:

This dual hitch receiver was extremely well made and was exactly what i was looking for. It allowed me to use my tray style bike carrier and my storage platform on my RV. The final result is a compact solution that seems worry free for my RV needs.

by:

Excellent service ‘ fast delivery and good price

by:

This hitch adapter is exactly what I needed and am thankful to have found it. I pull a Mini behind a motor home and like to carry a couple bikes on a bike rack. That left me with a need for two hitch adapters and a drop hitch to match the low height of the Mini with the high hitch on the RV. This adapter provides the perfect solution and provides plenty of room for both applications. Anyone with similar needs, this is your solution!

After a year, I continue to use this hitch adapter and continue to find it very useful. It still looks great and does everything I had hoped it would.

by:

Excellent hitch adapter. Amazingly strong and well built. We've towed our car around 10,000 miles with it so far and zero issues. We ordered the 10" drop hitch and should have gotten the 6" drop hitch, but that's on me. Maybe go a couple of inches less than you think to avoid scraping on inclines. Would buy again, no problem.

Year 2 update: Still excellent, hitch will outlive me. The double receiver works well as a bike rack mount above the towbar.

by:

One of the two receiver tubes (the 10" drop/rise receiver tube) was too small to accept all three of my 2" hitch accessories (Kuat Bicycle carrier, an aluminum cargo carrier, and tow hitch ). I had to use four(4) 3/8" grinding wheels on my rotary tool and approximately 1.5 hrs of my time to grind the inside four corners to enlarge the receiver tube to get them to fit. (note: the 2" drop/rise tube was the correct size, so it appears to be a production quality issue with just the the one tube.)

Roadmaster products have a brand specific shape. They have a rounded shape meant to be used with other Roadmaster items. I reached out to the manufacturer and they said the integrity of the adapter is not compromised by having to grind the inside away a little to allow for use with other non Roadmaster products.

by:

Super heavy duty. This thing looks and feels really well built.

by:

Good guilty, timely delivery, & reasonable price. E trailer is the best

by: 07/31/2023

Life saver! Does the work as expected

by:

Perfect fit exactly size very quick shipping as described

by:

Works perfect to tow a trailer and also carry a bike rack.

by:

Well built product and did what I needed it to do. The rise part of the receiver to install a bicycle rack to keep it above my tow vehicle a lifted Jeep Wrangler. The only negative is the receiver tube on the bottom now drops the hitch basically 2 1/2 inches lower and I now drag the receiver on the ground on driveway / street dips. Would have been better if none rise came straight out. I don’t think I would drag then I should have done more measurements

by:

Very nice delivery greatly appreciated

by:

Been using it for over a year. Have a bike rack on top and used a winch setup for my trailer to haul trucks up on it. Works great. Built a hitch on my friends rv and he wanted the same setup for his bike rack and towing a trailer behind his rv.

by:

I bought this so I could put a bike rack on the back of my motor home while flat towing my car. It worked great had no problems. The bicycles sat up high enough that they did not make contact with the car while turning. Sorry but I don’t have photos at this time.

  • How To Tow a Trailer and Haul a Motorcycle with a 2012 Toyota RAV4
It sounds like you are wanting to carry a motorcycle on the back of your 2012 Toyota RAV4 while also towing a trailer. If that is the case then this is a pretty tall order for your RAV4 but is possible so long as the tongue weight of the trailer, weight of the motorcycle, and weight of the motorcycle carrier do not exceed the tongue weight capacity of your vehicle which is 350 lbs if you have the towing package. In order to mount both the motorcycle carrier and ball mount, the only option...

  • Recommended Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes Carried on Rear of Flat Towed Vehicle
There's nothing different in the ride of the flat towed vehicle than there would be if the vehicle weren't being flat towed, as far as a bike rack goes. The problem is that the manufacturer of this rack, Hollywood Racks have not tested it for that purpose, and because of that reason they won't recommend it be used on a flat towed vehicle. I can't recommend doing anything that would contradict the usage instructions from the bike rack manufacturer, but I can recommend another solution...

  • Recommended Hitch For Carrying a Hitch Mounted Bike Rack and Towing a Boat Trailer
I recommend using the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-226 for towing your boat and carrying a bike rack. This hitch fits a 2" receiver and gives you 6 stacked 2" receivers to get the separation you need to be able to tow your boat and carry the bike rack. It is capable of supporting up to 2,000lbs of tongue weight and tow up to 16,000lbs. The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter # RM-077-10 is only certified to be used with flat towing purposes. • Can the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapters Be Used for Towing
The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapters like the 10" part # RM-077-10 cannot be used for towing per Roadmaster. The only similar option we have for towing is something the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver part # D210 or Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers part # 325-GH-214. The Gen-Y option will be better since you can still adjust the height of the hitch ball and there's an offset for clearance.

  • How to Carry a Bike Rack and Flat-Tow a Vehicle
There is not a maximum length ball mount or hitch extension that can be used in a flat-towing setup. However, the further out you go, the less tongue weight the ball mount or extension will be able to carry which is not really an issue for a flat-towing setup but is something you need to keep in mind. The best option we have for you to flat-tow your vehicle and carry a bike rack is with the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter part # RM-077-2 for 2-1/4" rise/drop, part # RM-077-4 for...

I have a great solution for you. I did some research on the Honda 3000iS generator, and I confirmed that the weight is 144 pounds and has dimensions of 25.8 inches x 18.9 inches x 22.4 inches. Unfortunately, they do not manufacture hitch cargo carriers that allow you to attach accessories via hitch to the back of the carrier. So when the adapter is in the drop position and the lower opening is the longer one the distance is 10 inches from the top of the shank to the top of the lower opening and then 2 inches to the upper opening. If you flip the adapter the distance is then also 10 inches of rise and 2 inches of drop. Since...

  • Recommended Dual Hitch Adapter with 10" Drop for Flat-Towing
It sounds like you're looking for the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter part # RM-077-10 which has dual receivers for flat-towing and carrying an accessory like a bike rack and has a 10" drop. It has a 400 lb tongue weight rating which should be more than enough for your needs as a dinghy towed vehicle has no tongue weight. The gross trailer weight rating is 10,000 lbs which is about highest we offer for this setup.

There is not a 2 receiver option that is 12 inches of drop, however the Replacement Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 12-1/2" Drop - 10K # 325-GH-306 will give you a better drop for your tow bar to be level and will allow you to also add the bike rack. • Is Roadmaster Dual Hitch Adapter Class 3 Rated
The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 2" or 10" Drop/Rise # RM-077-10 is not Class 3 rated because only hitches are rated by class as opposed to any adapter. And for question two, actual weight is pretty irrelevant in all honesty; Roadmaster's engineers have determined the # RM-077-10 is able to withstand the very fluid ride of a flat towed vehicle and its smooth suspension but not the extremely rough, bouncing, constant motion of a trailer and its very basic suspension.
