Jeff Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this castle lock nut for 7/8th-inch diameter equalizer bolts. Now this castle lock nut is gonna lock in place on your 7/8th-inch diameter suspension bolt by using a cotter pin. Basically the suspension bolt and the cotter pin is sold separately on our website. And it's listed on this product page as a related product. The suspension bolt will have a hole drilled in it for the cotter pin to go through.
Basically, what you would do is when this is put on, installed in your suspension system, you would just screw this castle nut onto the end of the suspension bolt. Once it gets tight, then you would just tighten it until these slots on the lock nut will line up with the hole that's in the suspension bolt, and then that'll allow you to put the cotter pin all the way through there, spread the cotter pin, so it holds it into place, and it keeps that lock nut from backing off the bolt. Thread pitch on this lock nut is 7/8th-inch diameter by 9 threads per inch. But that should do it for the review on the castle lock nut for the 7/8-inch diameter equalizer bolts..
