Video Transcript for TorkLift Weight Distribution TLM9010 Review

Today we're going to review part number TLM9010. This is the torque lift, 12 and 1/2 inch adjustable shank for the torque lift super hitch Everest weight distribution system and a 30,000 pound weight capacity. This shank is a heavy duty sturdy shank, which will slide in to the torque lift super hitch duel receiver trailer hitch, and it provides a mounting point for the Everest weight distribution head. Again, this is designed to work with the torque lift, 30,000 pound Everest weight distribution system, which is part number TLWD1000. We do sell that separately on our website. This is an adjustable design, which allows for drop or rise to fit your application. It is a powder-coated steel, which is very sturdy and corrosion resistant.

When you do install this into the duel receiver trailer hitch, it does require a hitch pinning clip or a hitch lock. If you already have one, you can use it, if not, we do sell those separately on our website. This part is made in the USA, and again the application is designed to slide in to the super hitch, the torque lift super hitch 2 inch by 2 inch duel trailer hitch receiver. Weight capacity on the shank when used with weight distribution would be 30,000 pound gross trailer weight capacity, and 3,000 pound tongue weight capacity, when used in just a regular weight carrying situation would be 20,000 pounds gross trailer weight capacity and 2,500 pounds tongue weight capacity. I'll give you a few measurements on this. Overall length is going to be right at 12 and 3/4 inches, the height is going to be right at 12 and 1/2 inches, and the bolt holes for the adjustments, there's eight of them, they are all at a diameter of 1 inch bolt hole diameter. That should do it for the review on part number TLM9010, the torque lift 12 and 1/2 inch adjustable shank for the torque lift super hitch Everest weight distribution system with a 30,000 pound weight capacity..

Been pulling a large heavy trailer for a year now almost every weekend and am still impressed with this hitch ! Its beefy ! No worries about having the strength to safely and easily tow heavy and or large loads !

  • Trailer Hitch and Accessories for Towing a 25,000 Pound Trailer with a 2002 Ford F-350 Dually
First, you will need a trailer hitch that is capable of the weight of your trailer with the dozer on it. The only hitch that will fit your 2002 Ford F-350 and has the capacity is TorkLift hitch # TLF1002-30. In order to get it to its maximum capacity (30K) you would have to use the Everest weight distribution # TLWD1000. Then you would need a shank, # TLM9010 or # TLM9011, and a ball, # C40085. Then the only problem is the coupler on the trailer. If it is a lunette ring or pintle hook...

  • Can Torklift Everest Weight Distribution System be Used on I-Beam Frame Trailer
To use the Heavy Duty Torklift Weight Distribution System, # TLWD1000, or a similar system, you will need to have a steel plate 5 or 6 inches wide welded, by an experienced welder, to box the frame where the brackets will mount Before modifying the trailer frame you will need to check with the trailer manufacturer to see if this will create an unsafe condition, or void your trailer warranty. For a shank you would need the part # TLM9010. For a hitch for your 2016 Ford F-350 you would...

There is one weight distribution hitch option that is rated for the 2000lb tongue weight you mentioned, but it will require you to replace the trailer hitch receiver on your 2021 Ford F-350 Dual Rear Wheel. The TorkLift SuperHitch Everest Weight Distribution System - 30,000 lbs GTW, 3,000 lbs TW # TLWD1000 will work with tongue weights ranging from 1500-3000lbs but will only work with their TorkLift Magnum Dual Receiver Trailer Hitch Receivers. • Can the TorkLift Everest Weight Distribution System Be Used w/ a SuperTruss Extension?
No, I am sorry Chris it can not. The TorkLift SuperHitch Everest Weight Distribution System item # TLWD1000 can only be used with the TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitches, like item # TL74FR that fits your 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500. It is because of the dual receiver required. The Adjustable Shank item # TLM9010 is the only one that fits it and it won't work with the extensions. You would need to use a standard weight distribution hitch with one of the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extensions...

You're welcome Chris! Sounds like you've more then got the hitch covered. I can not think of a better option then the TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch item # TL74FR. You will be able to pull anything and everything with this hitch and it gives you the most options for capacity on extensions. Additionally, down the road if you need a heavy duty weight distribution system the highest capacity one is the TorkLift SuperHitch Everest item # TLWD1000. It only works with TorkLift's Dual...

  • Weight Distribution System Recommendation for a Trailer with 1,800 lb Tongue Weight
1,800 lbs is quite a bit of tongue weight, but we do have a weight distribution system rated for that. We have the TorkLift Everest part # TLWD1000 that would work well for you. On your 2014 Chevy Silverado 2500 you would need to have the Torklift Superhitch part # TLC1209-30 installed though. You also will need the shank part # TLM9010 and the hitch ball part # C40085.

  • Weight Distribution Hitch for 35-foot Toy Hauler with Tongue Weight Near 2000-lbs
The key to selecting a properly-rated weight distribution system, one that will deliver the correction required without resulting in a jumpy or erratic ride quality, is to determine the trailer's tongue weight when it is fully loaded with all toys, equipment, supplies, etc, just as it will be when you hit the road. A system that is too soft will not deliver the weight re-distribution to your tow vehicle's front end; a system that is too stiff can result in odd handling characteristics,...

We don't have a weight distribution system that's rated for 2,400 lbs of tongue weight aside from the Torklift SuperHitch part # TLWD1000 which would require you to have the Torklift hitch part # TLF1002-30 installed on your 2015 Ford F-250. You'd also need the shank part # TLM9010 as well. This would be the only solution we have for that much tongue weight.

  • Weight Distribution System for a 2006 Ford F-350 and 14,000 Pound Work and Play 34 WRS Trailer
A single sway control bar is only good for trailers up to 6,000 pounds and up to 25 foot, 11 inch long trailers so that is at least part of the problem you are having. But not to worry because it is a problem that is easily remedied with the proper weight distribution system. To choose a weight distribution system you will need to go by the total tongue weight of the set up. This is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the trailer, when loaded and ready to tow, and adding to that...

  • Recommended Weight Distribution for Trailer Tongue Weight of 2194 lbs.
When you use a weight distribution system, it does not add more weight to the ball or the coupler, It disperses the weight across the frame so the trailer will handle better. This doesn't mean you can use a coupler rated for less weight than what your trailer can handle. Couplers aren't normally rated for tongue weight, so are you sure it doesn't specify 21000 lbs towing capacity versus 2100 lbs tongue weight capacity? Either way, you know your loaded tongue weight is 2194 lbs so if...

  • Recommended Weight Distribution System For Dump Trailer With I-beam Frame
The best way to determine what system will work for you is to know what your total tongue weight is. The total tongue weight is the tongue weight of your fully-loaded-ready-to-tow trailer added to the weight of any cargo you place behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. You will then want to find a system where your total tongue weight falls near the middle of the tongue weight range for the system. Getting a system that is too small will be useless, but getting a system that is too big...

You would also need the shank part # TLM9010 for the system. For your 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty the correct hitch would be the # TLF1002-30 which has the same 30k capacity as the WD system when you use the mentioned WD system.
