Video Transcript for Review of Firestone Lift Spacers For Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - F2370

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a brief look at these lift spacers for the Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs. These spacers are going to allow air springs to be installed on vehicles with four inches of lift, and the distance between the upper and lower brackets must be between 9 1/2 inches and 10 1/2 inches. And the spacer must be the same size as the lift kit rise. Now these spacers attach between the bottom of the lower bracket and the bottom of the spring on vehicles, again, with a four inch lift. And I do want to point out that these will fit Ride-Rite models F2286 if manufactured after February 1st of 2006. However, these will not fit Ride-Rite models F2350 or F2286.

So this includes everything that you see here on the table before me. You're going to get the two lift spacers, all the necessary hardware for installation and a set of instructions to walk you through the installation process. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy.

Thank you for joining me.

  • Will The SumoSprings SSR-610-40 Fit A 2018 Tundra With 1.25 Rear Lift Shackles
I spoke to SuperSprings and their SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-610-40 may work on your 2018 Tundra, but you will need to measure something to make sure as they are designed for stock ride height. When the # SSR-610-40 is installed, it will measure 6.25" tall. Typically there will be a gap that is anywhere from .25" to 1" from the top of the spring to the bottom of the frame where it will make contact. They said that a gap that is larger than 1", they may not work very well....

Not knowing if the rear was lifted does complicate it a little, but it's not the end of the world. For your 2019 Ram 2500 the correct Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label air bag kit is part # F2706. The air bags in the kit have a maximum diameter of 7.52 inches at the widest point, compressed height of 3 inches, and extended height of 8.91 inches. However if your truck is lifted a spacer may be required to make up for the additional height. The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2582 will work with the 3.5" lift on your 2015 F150 with the correct spacer. The Firestone Ride-Rite # F2582 will be a great addition to your truck since it offers 4800lbs of load leveling capacity, and the rolled crimp seal connecting the airbags to the end plates will prevent air from leaking out. Since your truck is lifted you will need to add a spacer, the weird thing about lifts is that a 3.5" lift may not actually lift the suspension...

That's a good looking truck! To determine which lift spacers you will need for Firestone air bags # F2299 or # F2701 for your 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 there is a measurement needed. A 6 inch lift may not increase the distance between the frame and axle by 6 inches. But if it has then you would need 6 inch lift spacers # F2375. • Do I Need Lift Spacers with Firestone Ride-Rite Air Springs?
You will need to add spacers, since you're right on the edge of the requirements, but the # F2366 would not be the correct size. Firestone has put together a chart/list that you can use to help you determine what kind of spacer you need. Since the distance between your brackets is 6-1/2", you should use the Firestone Lift Spacer # F2356 according to the chart/list below. Distance between top and bottom bracket: 6-1/2" - 7-1/2" - Lift Spacer # F2536 7-1/2" - 8-1/2" - Lift Spacer # F2366 8-1/2"...

For example if you have a 2 inch lift you'd want part # F2366, 4 inch lift part # F2370, 3 inch lift part # F2367, or 6 inch lift part # F2374.

According to my Firestone representative, you'll need to measure the existing space between the upper and lower brackets once the lift has been completed. Ideally, you'd see about 6 inches between the two brackets. If that's the case, Firestone tells me a spacer won't be needed. If the distance between the brackets is greater than 6 inches, you'll need a spacer whose thickness is the same as the gap. For instance, if the distance between the brackets measures about 8 inches, you'd want...
