Video Transcript for Review of Timbren Vehicle Suspension Spacer - A25723-90AH00

Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Timbren one-inch spacer for raised frame vehicles. Now Timbren does recommend that you have a half to one and a half inches of clearance between your Timbren and the contact point when the truck isn't under a load. If the clearance is more than what's recommended, then a spacer is going to be the ideal solution for you. Now, this spacer measures one inch thick; has an overall diameter of four inches. And the hole here in the center will accept a three-eighths inch diameter hardware.

Remember that the hardware is going to need to be longer since you're adding a spacer. You can go to your local hardware shop and pick something up, that's exactly what we do here when we install these on customer vehicles here in our shop, so you should be able to find that pretty easily. Now, this is the one inch spacer. There's also a half inch spacer. So if you need just a little bit more than the one inch here, or maybe just a little bit less, you have that option as well. You can find that here at etrailer.com using the part number that you see on the screen there. So if you're needing a little bit more space for your Timbren Springs, this is going to be the piece that you need. That's going to complete our look for today.

Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

I updated my leaf springs recently and now when I hook up my trailer the timbres don’t engage anymore. The back is now 2 inches higher. So I got 4 1” spacers and put them on. Now I have a one inch space like I used to have. They seem to work great. The hardest thing on installing them was to get the old rusted bolts loose. Also needed 2.5” 3/8-16 flathead bolts for my install. They are a little harder to find and I could only find them with a slotted head.

by:

This is an excellent product that helped level my 4runner while pulling my travel trailer. By preventing the back end from sagging, the front wheels stay fixed to the road for proper steering. I believe the 3/8 bushing was too small and I required 1/2 inch instead. Kaylyn at etrailer.com went above and beyond their normal customer service and got me in touch with the sales rep for Timbren, who promptly sent me the right size in time to make my big trip. He worked with me to find the right size for my after-market lift kit. In a time that companies are indifferent at best, etrailer.com makes the customer feel important in a sincere way. I also love e.trailer's selection and fast shipping.

With our 2007 Tundra we pull a 2016 Lance twin axle travel trailer. Lance advises a towing height of 20.5" from the road to the top of the ball hitch. To bring my Tundra up to the right height, I originally purchased etrailer Timbrens. However, after installing the Timbrens the Tundra was still too low. By adding this 1" spacer the height is now about 20.25". The pictures show the Tundra with just the Timbrens and then after adding the spacer. If you buy this product, you'll need to purchase longer Timbren bolts; etrailer mentions that on their video. I want to thank etrailer for providing great information and excellent products.

I have a 5.7 V8 Toyota Tundra. I run a dumpster rental and hauling company. I have Hellwig 2,500 pound helper springs and 6,000 pound Timbren shocks with the 1 inch Timbren spacer on the rear of my truck. Below is a picture of a 11,000 pound load hooked up to my tundra with 1,000 pounds in the truck bed as well. Zero squat. I love Timbrens products. Heavy duty. Perfect for my needs. They have a load on them 24/7/365 between the 1,000 pounds of tools and equipment in my truck bed and the very very heavy trailers I pull on a daily basis. Thank you Timbren! Have a trailer behind my Tundra daily. Power is NEVER an issue. It pulls like a diesel. Just needed to beef up the rear suspension a tad and this did just that. I'm all set now! Looking to get the front Timbrens sometime soon to. Not that I need them, more just a want. I do have a 400 pound HD winch bumper on the front of my truck but it's not causing any nose diving or anything. Just like the extra support provided by the Timbrens. Never hurts.

by:

So far so good, I added Sumo Springs to my 4runner, but I have a 2" lift, and needed 2 of these spacers on each side to keep the Sumo Springs at the proper distance from the axle, seem to be good quality.

by:

These work fine with Sumo Springs, which is what I needed.

by:

These “overloads” are such a great answer to suspension needs! They are made with high grade materials and the installation was a snap! I would buy them again many times over! Don’t mess with air bags, compressors, air lines and all that “stuff.” These are the deal!! Pictures of before and after. Simple way to add significant suspension payload quickly with little fuss.

by:

This is my 3rd order over the last several years I've made with etrailer. They are always friendly and happy to help you with your order. If you have any questions about one of their products be sure to contact them before moving on to another source. They fill orders quickly and accurately.

by:

Looks great have not put a heavy load on it yet. Had to use three 1in spacers I have a 4.5in suspension lift on my 2011 F250 4wd.

by:

Order was just what I needed.

by:

I have Timbrens and needed a spacer to improve the squat of my 2017 F150 after I bought a 2018 Lance 650 truck camper. Works perfectly. Rides great.

by:

Thank you Carol C for all of your support and rapid response and explaining everything. I wish I found etrailer a long time ago for my Tacoma mods. Will be looking for a roof rack soon so will come here first! Your site is probably the most helpful and informative that I have been to in a long time. New customer that will always check your site before going anywhere else. Thank you!

by:

Put these on my F350 towing a 15K pound 5th wheel to minimize squat, and after about 15K miles, I have been very happy with how they work. Super easy to install.

by:

I use this with the timbren SES for my 2016 Tacoma. I tow a 5500 pound trailer with 900 pound tongue weight. Truck squats maybe 1 inch and that's it...incredible. Ride quality while not towing is indistinguishable from stock other than there is a very noticeable reduction in body lean while cornering. I liken this to the same feeling as installing larger sway bars on a sports car. This is just st an added benifit if the timbren system. Highly recommend anything timbren puts out. Etrailer also has outstanding customer service.

by:

These worked great. I needed at least 3/4 of an inch more Because my truck is lifted. Just needed to get longer bolts.

by:

You don’t need these if you have a front end leveling kit on a Silverado 1500. It is too much. The Timbrens are installed at the frame and the extra half inch that far back on the a-arm makes the suspension way too stiff. On a fun note, going to take these out, I tripped backwards over the tire I had off my truck and ruptured my quadriceps tendon. Still recovering almost a year later.

by:

Purchased item TGMRYS4 for my 2008 Tahoe 4x4, once installed I had a 3" gap between bellows and contact pad. Pulling my trailer made no difference with Timbren Bellows so I had to install the 1" spacers to come close to the recommended spacing from the instructions. After research I found out that Timbren TGMRYS4 fits multiple vehicles with different ride heights. I may still need the 1/2" spacer to comply with Timbrens recommendations of 1 1/2" clearance. GREAT product to fix issues like mine.

by:

Excellent spacers to use on lifted trucks. 2" lift used two 1" spacers.

by:

Great product! Excellent service!

by:

Another of many orders from trailer. Easy to follow website and fast shipping

by:

Just rec,d my kit today. Very impressed with the quick delivery time and customer service to this point. With send another review after installation. As of now I am very, very happy with the service and the product. Exactly what I was expecting. Looking forward ti installation. John L. Horne

by:

These spacers are just what you need if your truck has been lifted. The product is well built and allowed me to get the correct spacing. They also coming in different diameters. The order was quickly shipped and worked as advertised.

After a year, I am still very happy with the product. Really good value for the price. Especially compared to more expenseive options.

by:

Etrailer is very easy to work with and their customer service is excellent. The Timbren SES is easy to install and seem to be a significant upgrade from the OEM parts!

by:

Very easy to install with my Timbren sp ring.

by:

Spacers came in as advertised. Install was easy maybe 30 minutes total time. Only needed 2 inches of spacers with a 3 inch frame lift allowing 1” of space between the frame and the timbren bumper. Used 3/8” X 3.25” grade 8 bolts sorted locally which worked perfectly.
Just got back from a test drive and really makes a difference in the stability most notably when taking corners. So far I am very pleased with he product and as always extremely pleased with Etrailer!

  • Availability of Suspension Enhancement System For Front and Rear of 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser
The Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs, part # F4124, would be the correct part number for the rear of your 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser if it is a four wheel drive model. They do not offer any system for the front of your vehicle. I would not recommend to try to use the rear springs on the front of your vehicle. I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Firestone rear springs. Firestone does offer lift spacers for vehicles that are lifted but they will not work with...

  • Recommended Suspension Enhancement for 2017 Toyota Tacoma with 2" Lift
I have a solution for you, but because SuperSprings does not offer a lift spacer for the SumoSprings, using the # SSR-612-47 may not be the best solution in this case because of your lift. Instead, I recommend using the Timbren # TTORTUN4L which can be used with lift spacers like the # A25723-90AH00, which will help compensate for your 2" lift. The Timbren system won't effect your unloaded ride quality and allow the springs ample room for movement. I've linked some brief review and installation...

For your 2011 For F-250 Super Duty if you are adding the Timbrens I would stay with your factory 2" block. If you install Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System Item # TFR350SDF you can add 1 or 2 of the Timbren 1" Spacer For Raised Frame Vehicles - 3/8" Bushing Item # A25723-90AH00 but it will require a longer bolt than what comes in the kit. This allows you to install the Timbrens and get the extra 2". Keep in mind the Timbrens are not going to give you any adjustability, your vehicle...

I definitely recommend going with the bump stop jounce-style springs that you are referring to as these require no maintenance and are very easy to install. They drastically reduce rear sag and also help with the overall handling of your truck. Your two options for your 2010 Ford Ranger are the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle # SSR-113-40 and the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TFRR050A. There are a few different options for an airless suspension enhancement system for your 2003 Ford F-250. The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle # SSR-114-54 referenced in your question is a great option. The sturdy springs will cushion bumps and help support a heavy load to level your truck. They have a 2,800 pound weight capacity and offer progressive load control, which means that the springs will compress according to the weight of your cargo. I also recommend looking...

The compatibility of the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-610-47 with a lifted 2019 Toyota Tundra TRD will come down to the type of lift. If the distance between the jounce spring and contact point has changed then these would not be a good option. However, if the lift consist of just a lift block under the leaf spring pack then the above distance would not have changed therefore they would work. • Will the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs Fit a Lifted 2015 Toyota Tundra
The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-610-40 are a great option for a 2015 Toyota Tundra. In regards to lift compatibility, it all comes down to the type of lift installed. I know a lot of lift kits for the rear entail a simple spacer block between the axle and leaf springs. If this is what you have, you wouldn't need a spacer as the space between the top of the leaf springs and frame (where this kit mounts) would be unchanged. The same could also be said for add-a-leaf...
