Today on our 1999 Ford F-250 we're going to take a look at our best hitch options available, starting with the Curt Class 4 Hitch, part number C14355. This is a 2" x 2" receiver tube. It comes with a 1.000 lb tongue capacity and a 10,000 lb tow capacity. When using a weight distribution system, this hitch has a 1,200 lb tongue weight capacity and a 12,000 lb gross towing capacity. We've got our Curt Class 5, part number C15410. This is a 2" x 2" receiver tube, tongue weight capacity is going to be 2,550 lbs and a 17,000 lb tow capacity. more

Today, on our 2007 Ford F250, we're going to review and install the B&W Class V 2" Receiver Tube Hitch, part number B-W-H-D-R-H-2-5-2-3-0. Here's what it's going to look like once it's installed. This is our Class V hitch. It's a completely steel and a no drill install. We've got a square crosstube that comes into a receiver tube. Here at our receiver tube on each side is our easy to use chain hold-downs and our 5/8th pin hole that goes all the way through the receiver tube for securing our attachments. more

Today, on our 2007 Ford F-250 we're going to review and install, the Curt Class V, 2-1/2 inch Receiver Tube Hitch, part number C15810. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. Our hitch is a super strong, square tube constructed, fully welded, with a matte and black coated finish. This is our big heavy duty hitch, so we've also got large chain hold downs making it easy for those large hooks for the heavy duty trailers. Here we have a 5/8 pinhole that goes all the way through our class V, 2-1/2 inch by 2-1/2 inch receiver tube. This hitch is capable of up to 2,700 pounds of tongue weight and a 20,000-pound tow capacity. Next, we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements. more

Today, on our 2007 Ford F250, we're going to review an install. The Curt Class IV 2-inch Receiver tube 00:00:07 Hitch, part number C14355. Hi, here's what our hitch is going to look like, once installed. It's got a nice square, cross tube design, a fully welded construction, and a really nice black powdered coated finish to resist rust and corrosion. Here in the receiver tube, it's got the pre-drilled 5/8 pinhole to go all the way through and some easy access chain holdouts. 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube, it's capable of 1,000 pound tongue capacity with a 10,000 pound tow capacity. Next we'll give you a couple measurements, this will assist you selecting accessories, such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From of the center of the hitch pinhole to the outer most edge of the bumper is 5 1/2 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening, down to the ground, is 20 inches. Now I'll go ahead and show you the minimum tools required for installing the hitch. more

It's got a really nice black powder coated finish to resist rust and corrosion and blends in nicely with the under-body of the vehicle. Here, already pre-installed on the hitch, is an electrical bracket. You connect your 4, 6, or even 7 blade trailer connector to it. On either side of the receiver tube is going to be our large chain hold valves. more

Today on our 2007 Ford F-250, we're going to review and install the Draw-Tite Class III 2" Receiver Tube Hitch, part number 75740. Here's what our hitch is gonna look like once it's installed. We've got a really nice completely steel hitch and a fully welded construction. Got a really nice black powder coated finish to resist rust and corrosion and blends in nicely with the underbody of the vehicle. Here already pre-installed on the hitch is an electrical bracket so you connect your four, six or even seven blade trailer connector to it. Now on either side of our receiver tube is going to be our large chain hold downs. Going all the way through the receiver tube is our 5/8" pin hole and additionally a 1/2" pin hole. more

Now, we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is approximately 3 inches, from the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 21 inches. Keep in mind this is a 2-wheel drive vehicle, not a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Now, let's go ahead and install our hitch. We're going to begin today's installation by first, lowering down and setting the spare tire out of the way for now. more

Now here's what the hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch such as ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is approximately three inches and from the top from the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 24 inches. To begin with let's go ahead and show you the hardware that we'll be using to mount the hitch to the vehicle. All eight locations we'll be using the same hardware. We'll be using a 9/16th by an inch and three quarter carriage bolt, a square hole spacer block and a 9/16th hex flange nut. more

Today on our 2004 Ford Super Duty, well be installing the Curt Class V - 2 Receiver Tube Hitch, part number C15410. To begin our install, well first point out the attachment points. Well have a total of 8 attachment points, 4 on each side. These holes are pre-drilled into the frame by the manufacturer. Well be using the new hardware provided with the hitch. There will be a carriage bolt and block, theyll go down through the frame, through the hitch, and get secured with a flange nut. To start, well put our rear and forward attachment point hardware in place, on both sides. Then with an extra set of hands, well go ahead and raise the hitch up into position and install the flange nut. Now that we have the hardware holding the hitch in place, well go ahead and put the other 4 fasteners in place. more

Note for this application is recommended to lower and remove the spare tire for the ease installation of installing the hitch, however; unfortunately we cannot lower the spare tire as we installed this hitch.First well go ahead and identify our attachment points, there are a total of eight attachment points, four on each frame rail, these are predrilled holes in the frame rail by the manufacture. more

Today on our 2004 Ford F250 well be installing the Curt hitch, part number 14041. First well note that weve already gone ahead and lowered and removed the spare tire for an easier install. Note weve got a total of six attachment points, three on each side. These attachment points are predrilled holes in the frame by the manufacturer. The hardware well be using to attach the hitch is the new half inch carriage bolt and block and a half inch flange nut. Well first go ahead and take the carriage bolt and block and drop into the frame, which will then go through the hitch and be secured with the flange nut at each of the attachment points. more

One thing to know about the bumper on this is the aftermarket. Basically, the hitch pin hole is ahead of the bumper by about 1-3/4 inches. more

Today we are going to install part number 41931 from Draw-Tite, and we are going to install this hitch on a 2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty. We are looking at the passengers side frame rail here, and the hitch is going to get attached at this hole here, here, here and here. And you can tell by the whole area that the original factory hitch was on there already so we already took that off. The hitch is going to attach to the same place as the factory hitch did. This one will be a lot heavier hitch. And it will be identical on both sides. The factory wiring we took and just tucked it out of the way for now during our install. We will go ahead and reinstall that after the hitch is done. more
