EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Installation - 2020 Mazda CX-30- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Mazda CX-30, we're gonna be showing you how to install the EcoHitch trailer hitch receiver. But before we do that, why don't you check it out and make sure that this is a right hitch for you. So right off the bat, probably my favorite thing about this particular hitch is the fact that it has that larger 2-inch by 2-inch receiver tube opening. So the other two hitches available for the CX-30 are the smaller 1-1/4". And this is 2-inch by 2-inch one, much more common size, a lot more accessories are available for it. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Mazda CX-5- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the CURT Trailer Hitch Receiver here on our 2014 Mazda CX-5. So, this is what our trailer hitch is gonna look like installed on our CX-5 here. It has a hidden design, meaning the cross tube is tucked way back behind the bumper here. And the rest of the components we can see are gonna have a nice black glossy powder coated finish that's gonna help it blend in well, and also help protect it from rust and corrosion. So adding a trailer hitch to your CX-5 here, it's gonna be an excellent option because it's gonna make your vehicle that much more versatile. Now we can obviously use the trailer hitch for towing, but if we wanted to hit some trails, or free up some space inside the vehicle for the family on those long road trips, we can easily attach either a hitch mounted bike rack, or a hitch mounted cargo carrier. more

So, this is what our trailer hitch is gonna look like installed here on our Mazda. Most of it is actually hidden behind the bumper here, so this has a concealed cross tube, therefore, it's gonna provide us with the best overall appearance. And what we can see, the receiver tube has a nice black powder coated finish that not only helps it blend in with the underbody paneling on the vehicle here, it also helps protect the hitch from rust and corrosion over time. So adding a trailer hitch here to your CX-5, it's gonna be an excellent option because it's gonna make your vehicle that much more versatile. Now, obviously, we can use the trailer hitch for towing, but some other things you may not already be aware of, if we wanted to free up some space inside the vehicle for our family on those long road trips, or if we just wanted to hit the trails, we could easily attach either a hitch mounted bike rack, or hitch mounted cargo carrier. more

And as you can see here, pretty much everything is gonna be hidden behind the bumper there. Therefore the only thing we can see is the receiver tube opening which gives it a very factory-like appearance. Now in regards to the coating on the trailer hitch, it has a shiny black powder-coated finish. This does a couple of different things. Number one, it helps blend in with the vehicle's under body paneling and it also helps protect the hitch from rust and corrosion being that it is on the underside of the vehicle subjected to the elements. more

Hi there Mazda owners. Today, on your 2017 Mazda CX-5, we're gonna be having a look at, and showing you, how to install etrailer's Class 3, 2-Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver. The cross tube is hidden completely behind the bumper, but you don't need to remove the fascia to install it, so that's nice. You're only gonna see the receiver here at the back, and it does stick out a little bit, it is, kind of, noticeable because of how far it sticks back, but I don't think it detracts from the looks of the vehicle too much. This hitch uses a five eighths inch hitch pinning clip. Now, one doesn't come included with the hitch, but we've got plenty available, here at etrailer. more

So here's what our trailer hitch is going to look like installed. Rob: Hey, everybody. It's Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the CURT class 2 custom-fit trailer hitch receiver on our 2019 Mazda CX-5. Now I know everybody wants to see what it's going to look like on their vehicle, we can go over some of the features, but if you do stick around to the end of the video, we are going to go over the installation process so you can have the confidence to do it at home.Our CURT hitch is a class 2, so it's going to give us that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening and as you can see, it has a really clean look on the car. We don't have a big bar sticking underneath, and that's because the cross tube is going to be hidden behind the bumper, and the only thing we are going to see is the receiver tube sticking out.Now, since it is a class 2, it does have a somewhat smaller receiver tube so there's a smaller footprint and again it's a little bit less conspicuous than the larger hitches on there. Now, usually when people think of a trailer hitch, they automatically think of pulling a trailer, and you absolutely can. You can put a ball mount in there and easily tow a trailer with your CX-5. more

Really the only thing you're going to be able to see is a receiver tube opening and it's almost going to look like it's part of your car.Now, what kind of separates us is the finish. It's going to have more of a gloss black finish, and in my opinion, it stands out a little bit more. But if that's the look you're going for, then this'll be a great choice for you.Many of our CX-5 customers plan on using their hitch for accessories like cargo carriers and bike racks, let's get to work really good for those and that's really because it's going to give us a good bumper clearance. So what I mean by that, the end of the receiver tube opening is going to sit just behind our bumper and really give us a space we need to use our folding accessories without having to worry about them contacting the back of our Mazda.So this is a class three hitch, so it's going to give us a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening and a reinforced collar for extra strength. It's going to have the standard 5/8 size pin hole. more

Now a hitch can be good for a lot of different things. We can put a cargo carrier in here, make a little bit more room on the inside of our CX5. But if we want to hit the trails with some friends, put a bike rack in there and take some bikes with us or if we need to move a camper, a trailer or even a jet ski trailer, go down to the lake, we can put that in there. But regardless of how we're going to use our hitch, all of our accessories are going to mount to the hitch pin hole here on the side and our hitch is going to accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip.Now these are not going to be included with the hitch. more

Could put a cargo carrier on here and move all the gear to the outside or if you want to hit the trails with some friends on the bikes, could put a bike rack in here.Or if we need to move a trailer, we can put a ball mount in here. But regardless of how or what we're going to be using our hitch for, we're going to be mounting all of our accessories to the hitch pin hole here on the side.Now the hitch is going to accept a standard 5/8ths pin and clip. Now these do not come with the hitch, but you can pick them up etrailer.Com, along with some locking devices and anti-rattle devices to make sure your accessories are secure and they're not going to move around inside the hitch, making a lot of noise.Now if you are going to be towing a trailer, you need a spot to hook up your safety chains. In here we have a plate style welded to the bottom and we've got plenty of room to get most size hooks on or off.Now if you're looking for a hitch for your Mazda, you want to make sure that it's going to be up to the task that you put it to, regardless if it's going to be towing a trailer or carrying some gear in a cargo carrier.So as far as the weight rating goes, our hitch is going to have a 600 pound tongue weight. more

Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Mazda CX-5- Video
Today on our 2018 Mazda CX5, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install, the Draw-Tite Class 2 Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver.So here's what our hitch is gonna look like once we have it installed. The cross tube's gonna be completely hidden behind the bumper, so we're not gonna have to worry about it hanging down or taking away from the looks of our Mazda.The main thing we're gonna see is that receiver tube sticking out, but it is gonna give us and inch and a quarter, by inch and a quarter opening. It's gonna be great for bike racks, cargo carriers, or some light duty towing.The way we're gonna mount any of our accessories is through the hitch pin hole here on the side. It is gonna accept standard, half inch pin and clip. These are not included in the kit, but you can pick 'em up here at etrailer.com, along with some locking devices to keep your accessories secure.If you do plan on doing some light duty towing, our safety chain connection points are gonna be loop style, welded to the bottom of the receiver tube. As you can see, we have plenty of room to get most size hooks on or off. more

Speaker 1: Today on this 2017 Mazda CX3, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite class one trailer hitch receiver, part number 24933. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. One thing that's great about this hitch is that it's mostly concealed behind our rear fascia here, giving us a nice, clean, and factory-like appearance. On the side of our receiver you'll find our half-inch diameter hitch pin hole that we can use a pin and clip to secure hitch-mounted accessories. You can pick up a pin and clip on our website as part number PC2. Welded on the bottom of our receiver are rolled steel safety chain loops. more
