Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt four-pole trailer wiring harness for a 2023 Honda CR-V. Adding four-pole trailer wiring to your vehicle means that you're gonna be able to tow a trailer by giving the light sequence from the vehicle, from your four-pole, to the trailer, giving you running lights, turn signals and brake lights, letting the people behind you know what you're intending to do. So this is required if you do plan on pulling a trailer. And this one is actually pretty easy to do. There should be a factory plug that you're gonna plug into and then just pop a fuse into a fuse holder. And this is going to live outside the vehicle only when you are gonna be hooking up to the trailer. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Tekonsha T-One trailer wiring harness on a 2022 Honda CR-V. So here we have our trailer wiring installed and the great part is you can't actually see it and you don't have to see it until you're ready to tow, the reason being is our plug is actually going to live inside the vehicle. Not only is that gonna keep it nice and clean and away from the elements, but it's also gonna just be out of sight and not be down here. It gives it a little bit cleaner look. So if you don't tow all the time, this is a great option because all you have to do when you wanna hook up to your trailer is simply drape this over the weatherstripping here, close your hatch, and hook up to your trailer. Now having a 4-pole trailer wiring on your vehicle is gonna be great when you do hook up to your trailer, because it'll give the light signals, not only for the running lights, but your left turn, your right turn, as well as your brake signal. more

Then we've got the driver's side, little storage compartment here, go ahead and remove the cover for it. There is a Phillips head screw here helping to hold this lower floor liner into place. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Honda CR-V 118427

Today on this 2007 Honda CR-V we are going to install part number 118427 from Tow Ready. Alright, the first thing we need to do is get inside the vehicle and remove the interior panels to find the port that we need to plug the wire harness in to. Remove the floor panel until we are down to the spare tire. We also need to remove the threshold so we can pull apart this side panel right here. First we will go ahead and remove the tie-down loops that are on the inside here. We will just go ahead and remove them. We have the driver side done. Now let us do the passenger side. OK to remove the plastic rivets it is a little bit different from most. You actually take the center and push it down. And then it pops right out. You can use your fingers or you can use a special tool to help pop them up. But usually apply pressure and they will release on their own. Pop open this panel. There is a little tab you have to pull out. And then you want to use a trim tool to pop the releases here. There is a plastic rivet here that you have to remove as well. It gives you a little bit extra wiggle room. And then you can pop the panel a little bit more until you can see the interior wiring. 1:08 more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Honda CR-V

Today on this 2006 Honda CR-V we will be installing wiring harness part number 118336. We are in the rear cargo area of the vehicle and the port that we are going to be plugging our harness into is located right behind here behind the rear threshold closer to the driver side. So we need to remove some pieces to gain access to that. Start by removing the carpeting here from the cargo area and also the rear cargo door. We want to remove the rear threshold piece here as well. We also need to remove the screws from the tie downs here and here. Take a flathead screwdriver or a rivet tool and just get that in there and kind of gently pry back to release the clips here on the interior. When you are trying to remove the interior panel here you actually need to pull out first because you need to release the sockets that are actually in to the metal on the interior. Get that out of there. 01:22 more

Remove this panel here and then we need to remove this threshold right here, and that way we can get access to this interior panel here so we can get behind it. You have two plastic rivets at the bottom. They are kind of different - you push the center and they pop out. It just takes gentle pressure and then it will pop out. And then this panel we will need to pull loose, and there is one rivet right here. Way back in the back you can see the white connector with light blue tape around it. That is the connector you need to get into. It is about two feet deep in there. more
