Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this GEN-Y adjustable two-ball mount. This is going to allow you to hook your trailer up to your tow vehicle. This will slide right into the two-inch by two-inch trailer hitch receiver on your vehicle, and then it provides the matte black two-inch ball or two and five-16th inch ball for your trailer coupler to attach to. Very easily can flip that upside down so that you can accommodate different trailers that have either that two-inch or two and five-16th inch coupler. Now, this is a nice heavy duty steel construction it's gonna give us a 10,000 pound gross towing weight. That of course is the weight of the trailer, plus the load included and then a maximum tongue weight or downward pressure on your hitch ball of 1,500 pounds. more

Now, this is an adjustable ball mount that'll let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. This portion here, this solid shank, is what'll slide in to your two inch hitch receiver on your vehicle, and then up front here, you'll have either a 2 5/16 diameter ball or a two inch diameter ball that'll provide the connection points for your trailer coupler. Now, on this part, they do also include this pintle lock accessory, when it's used with this larger 2 5/16 diameter ball, will provide a connection point for use with a lunette ring coupler. Basically, a lunette ring, it's a large ring coupler that'll drop down over the ball, and to keep it onto the ball, it uses this pintle lock. more

It does use three-stacked two inch receivers, which will accept the included ball mount as well as other hitch-mounted accessories, does use this 5/8 inch diameter stainless steel pin and clip, and this is to secure the ball mount to the shank. So to remove the ball mount or to move it, you can just pull your clip out, and these clips are really nice, they use this quick twist clip design, you can see it has a bent design to it, and it makes it a lot easier to install the pin. more

Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount Review C53JR- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Curt heavy-duty forged ball mount for a 2-inch hitch with a 2 5/16 ball and a 6-inch drop. Now the glory of this ball mount here is it does come with the ball and the ball's actually gonna be pre-torqued onto there. And that's something that people don't really consider until they have to torque down their ball because you need a torque wrench that's gonna have that torque setting that's gonna go high enough and also a socket that can fit on here. And a lot of times you're trying to use a wrench on top and torque this down, so it can be a little bit tricky to make sure that they're properly torqued. So having this already torqued down is one less step that you'll have to do. Now, this is a 6-inch drop. more

And what's really nice about this is the 2 5/16 ball comes installed, which doesn't seem like a big deal until you realize you need to torque these down. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Weigh Safe 180 2-ball trailer hitch for a 3-inch hitch. Now this is gonna have an 8 inch rise as well as an 8 inch drop. So when you tow multiple different trailers sometimes it's really inconvenient to have to carry around a bunch of different hitches and different ball sizes to accommodate whatever trailer that you're actually hooking up to. That's where this 180 comes in place because, as the name implies, you can actually flip this around and go from a 2 5/16 ball to a 2 inch ball pretty quickly. And the great part about this is it's also locked in place, whereas a lot of your other adjustable ball mounts will have two pins and they kind of can be cumbersome because they're heavy. Now, this forged ball Mount includes a two and 5/16 inch in diameter, Chrome plated Pretor hitch ball that's going to fit a two inch square trailer hitch receiver. And this ball Mount provides again, a six inch drop from the top of the inside of your hitch opening. And it is a solid one piece forged steel construction. Now this solid heavy-duty channel-style adjustable ball mount with sway control drop ball mount attachment, and this two inch ball provides a wide range of adjustability. These sway control tabs have 5/8 of an inch diameter holes that are going to accept your basic sway control arm bars and mini balls. Of course, those are sold separately, and this includes two easy-to-remove pins with these large rings that I can easily fit up to four of my fingers through. So no problems with grabbing hold of these when you're ready to remove them, no more fumbling with small hitch pin heads and these rings can be folded in either direction, if you need to get them out of your way. And also there are large safety clips, it's gonna make securing and removing these clips very easy. more

This solid, heavy duty channel style adjustable ball mount with sway control, drop ball mount attachment And this two inch ball provides a wide range of adjustability. This is going to slide right into your 2 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver on your vehicle. It's gonna provide the two inch ball here for you to hook up to your trailer coupler. This does also have this 2 5/16 inch ball clamshell that will fit right over top of that two inch ball, so that you can accommodate a 2 5/16 inch coupler as well. more

Included, as you see here, are two easy to remove pins, and they have these large rings that I can easily fit up to four fingers through that's going to make it very easy to grab ahold of, so there's not gonna be any more fumbling with small hitch pin heads, and this also features large safety clips that's going to make securing the clips and the pins very easy. Let me just give you a brief demonstration of how easy this is to adjust. So I'm just gonna pull out my clips, and then let me turn this around and show you how easy it is to remove these pins. By the way, these large rings can fold one way or the other if you would like them out of your way. more
