The ball-mount's going to let you hook up your trailer to your tow-vehicle. The shank portion slides into the receiver tube of your hitch. You'd push it in until you get your pinholes lined up and then you would secure it in there with hitch pin and clip or a hitch-lock. Those items are sold separately. more

B&W Tow & Stow 2 Ball Mount Review- Video

Today we are going to be taking a look at the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount. This is for 2" Hitches with a 5" drop and a 5-1/2" rise rated at 10000 lbs, part number BWTS10037BB. It is also available with a 3" drop and a 3-1/2" rise rated at 7500 lbs, part number BWTS10035BB and on a 3" drop and a 3-1/2" rise rated at 10000 lbs, part number BWTS10033BB. Light towing but low grounding Then this is the ball mount for you. The majestic Browning Buck is emblazoned in gold on this B&W Ball Mount. They call it a tow & stow ball mount for a reason. We can simply turn our ball horizontally, lock it in place then remove our hands in clips here, bring it all the way down, rotate it, bring it up as far as you like, reinsert the pins and clips and then it is in the stow position. This is ideal for when you are not towing and you still want to show off your Browning pride. The included pinning clip allows us to lock in our ball size. The one we are working with today has a 10000 lbs rating with a 2-5/16" ball and for the 2" ball it has a 7500 lbs rating. It has a maximum drop of 5" and a maximum rise of 5-1/2". more

To move it to a stowed position, there's a couple steps we need to do. I'm going to change the orientation of the hitch balls, so by pulling that pin and clip we can rotate the hitch balls either to a stowed position or we can move it to whatever hitch ball we need for our towing application. It's going to be two different sizes: you're going to have a 2" ball and a 2-5/16" ball. For a stowed position we're going to move it to this setting right here, and then we can pull the rear pins, so we'll do that real quick. more

The ball mount is going to feature the built in hitch balls that's going to let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The shank of the mount is going to be the portion that slides into the receiver to your hitch, and then the hitch balls are going to provide the connection point for your trailer coupler. Now this unit does feature a stowable design that's going to store the ball mounting platform underneath your hitch here on the reverse side of the front face of the mount. In order to move it to the stowed position, we're going to need to remove the pins and the clips. Now this forward one right here, if we remove that, that allows the hitch balls to rotate. So for a stowed position, we're going to move it to that setting right there. It's going to give us the most amount of clearance that we need, or that would work best for stowing this under the hitch. So once you have those out, take it, and then we can rotate it underneath, so this would be the stowed position. more

Hidden Hitch Ball Mount with 6 Inch Drop Review - 2015 Ford F-150- Video

Today, on our 2015 Ford F-150 SuperCab, we'll be doing a test with a Hidden Hitch ball mount with a 4 and 3 quarter rise, or a 6-inch drop rated at 6,000 pounds. That's part number 80240. Now I've already got it installed in the drop position on the back of our F-150 just to give you a good idea what it's going to look like. First thing we need to do to determine if this wall mount is right for us is we need to take a hitch height measurement. Let's go ahead and uninstall it. Today we're going to take a look at the Curt tri-ball mount, part number C45001. This tri-ball mount has three different chrome balls. It has a 2-5/16" ball, a 2" ball, and a 1-7/8" ball mounted on a hollow enclosed shank. It has a black powder-coat finish, and it fits in a 2" trailer hitch receiver. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Convert-a-ball Cushioned Ball Mount for 2" hitches. One of the things that really makes this ball mount kind of unique or separate from the others is that it's got a cushioned interior. That's designed to help protect the tow vehicles drive line and hitch assembly as well as the trailer's contents. Now I have a demo model here just to show you the internal components. Right here is our hitch pinhole. Then you can see that in front of and behind it we're going to have the polyurethane interior. Curt Ball Mounts - Fixed Ball Mount - D-43 Review- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt reversible ball mount, now this ball mount is going to be great if you frequently tow trailers with different coupler sizes, this is going to allow you to use 1 ball mount, rather than switch between 2 different 1s. All you have to do is take it out of your hitch, flip over to gain access to the other hitch ball. Now the hitch balls are going to be permanently welded on to the draw bar, you're going to have a 1 7/8s inch ball, now this is going to have a drop, that's taking a measurement from the inside top edge of the receiver tube of your hitch, to the top of the ball platform. That's going to give us a drop of 3 inches, and then you're going to have the 2 inch ball on the other side, which is going to offer a rise, from the inside top edge of the receiver tube of your hitch, to the top of the ball platform of 2 inches. This unit is made from a steel construction, it's going to feature a nice black powder coat finish, which is going to help resist rusting corrosion, helping the ball mount to last a long time. This is designed for 2 inch by 2 inch trailer hitch receivers. To get it secured inside of your hitch, you're going to need to install a hitch pin and clip, or a hitch lock. more

Curt Pintle Hitch - Pintle Hook - Ball Combo - C48006 Review- Video

Today we're going to review part number C48006, this is the Curt Receiver Mounted Ball & Pintle Hook for 2" hitch receivers. Has a 2 5/16 diameter hitch ball and a weight capacity of 12,000 pounds on the hitch ball, 16,000 pounds on the pintle hook, this pintle hook and hitch ball combo will let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The shank portion here will slide into your vehicle's hitch receiver, the pintle hook will connect to the lunette ring couplers, and the hitch ball will allow you to connect to standard ball couplers. This part is a strong forged steel construction, has nice rust resistant finish. On the pintle hook and the shank they use a high gloss black powder coat finish and on the hitch ball's a nice chrome plated finish, they have this tethered snapper pin right here which is included for the pintle hook. When you remove that pin it'll allow you to open up the pintle hook, you just pull up on that handle and you can see that opens it up. The nice thing again about that snapper pin is that it is tethered so you won't be losing it. more

B&W Tow and Stow 2 Ball Mount Review- Video

Today we'll be taking a look at the B&W Tow and Stow 2 Ball Mounts for 2" Hitches available in a variety of different drops and rises, with a 7,500 or a 10,000 pound towing capacity. This tow and stow ball mount stows up and out of the way when not in use and is easily returned to its towing position by pulling these two clips here, removing the pins, as you can see it slides down the shank without having to remove it and back around. We'll replace the pins and the clips and then we can rotate our ball by pulling this clip here, removing the pin. We've got a choice between 2" and 2-5/16". We'll simply rotate it, put the pin in the front hole, replace our clip and then we're ready to tow. All of the ball mounts feature a drop and a rise, adjustable in 1" increments allowing you to tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. The shank has a nice black powder coat finish while the dual hitch balls feature a chrome plating. Both are going to be excellent at resisting rust and corrosion. more

Draw-Tite Ball Mounts - Adjustable Ball Mount - 7390 Review- Video

Today we're going to review part number 7390, this is the draw tight, adjustable, hollow shank ball mount with the sway control tab and a six thousand pound weight capacity. This part is rated at six thousand pounds gross towing weight capacity and up to six hundred pounds tongue weight capacity. It does include this two inch by two inch square hollow shank and this shank has the holes going up and down on it. It is an adjustable shank that can be used in either the drop position like this, or if you flip it over, it can be used in the rise position. The ball platform, this is where your hitch ball would be attached and this is where your ball for your sway control would be attached that basically would slide up and down on there and these holes for the adjustment are at one inch increments, so just like that. That's in the rise position and I had mentioned you can also put it in the drop position and you can do the same thing when you put the bolt .. it comes with the bolts and the lock nut, so same way. more

One of the best features of our ball mount here is that you can store it underneath your truck. To store it, we'll go ahead and flip it over one more time because you have to do this in a drop position. Now go ahead and remove our pins one more time. B&W Tow and Stow 3 Ball Mount Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 BWTS10049B- Video

We're going to show you the BMW Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount, part number BWTS10049B. Now even though a ball mount is rated for a total weight of 10,000 pounds, always check to make sure your vehicle can handle the weight that you want to pull. Also you don't want to go over the weight capacities of the hitch balls individually. The biggest feature about this is that when you're done using it if you're in the habit of leaving your ball mount on the truck, you can actually take this whole assembly and flip it around and store it underneath the hitch if you had the room. Once again we'll go ahead and remove our 2 pins here, and by the way, they're stainless steel, so they'll stay corrosion free for a very long time. We'll go ahead and pull out our pins. This also has a pin in it on both sides and it hits the stop right here, so it can't completely come all the way off. Then you just swing it back up and reinstall your pins. more

Now, this is a corrosion-resistant ball mount, features this integrated welded D-ring, provides an attachment point for straps or hooks, has the angled tube end right here, makes installation very easy, does use a high quality manufacturing process, CNC machine for strong consistent cuts and welds, and they use a 7-stage washing method that will ensure a smooth clean surface. Andersen EZ Heavy Duty Adjustable Hitch Installation - 2008 Chevrolet Silverado- Video

Today on our 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with 4 inch lift kit we're going to do a review and install of the Andersen Hitches EZ Heavy Duty Adjustable Hitch with Combo Ball part number AM3298. Here we have our nice heavy duty solid portion of the shank with the black powder coating. This is a 2 inch by 2 inch shank. It will fit your standard class 3 and 4 inch hitches that have a 2 inch by 2 inch opening or in this case where you have a 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch opening and inside is a sleeve. It will also work with these applications. We'll simply slide the shank into the sleeve then aligning the shank and sleeve up with the hitch pre drilled hole so that we can reinstall our pin and clip. Here we have our combination ball. more
