What Is Needed To Tow With 2009 Hyundai Accent
Question:
Hello! Im preparing to rig my 2009 Hyundai Accent SE with a trailer hitch to move cross-country. Right now, Ive got the following in line: #24795 Hidden Hitch Rcvr #19256 Hitch Ball 1 7/8inch #C56175 Curt Converter /w SMT Is there anything else I need? I noticed in the photos of the Hitch Rcvr a part that looks like where the ball connects to, but theres no full photo of it all rigged and installed. Thank you!

It sounds like you are ready to go with the cross-country trip and your 2009 Hyundai Accent.
The Draw-Tite, part # 24795 you mentioned is designed to fit a 3 door hatchback Accent. This is a Class 1 hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening.
You will want to check your owner's manual or with your dealership to make sure you do not exceed the towing or tongue weight capacity for your Accent.
You said you have the Curt Wiring, part # C56175. Per Curt, this wiring harness is not designed to work with Accents that have LED lights. If you have LEDs on your Accent and you have not installed the Curt harness yet, I recommend returning the harness and ordering the Tow Ready Wiring, part # 119178KIT. This harness will work with either LEDs or incandescent lights. This harness comes with a circuit tester as well.
