Tow Bar Diode Wiring Kit Recommendation for a 2015 GMC Acadia

Question:

My tail light assembly wiring has a 4 pin connector. I disconnected the left assembly from the body wiring and I am finding that with the headlights turned off that two of the pins have voltage when either the brake light or the tail lights are activated. Pin 1 and 2 are hot when the tail light is activated. Pin 2 and 3 are hot when the brake is activated. Pin 3 will blink with the flashers on while Pin 2 remains steady. Pin 2 runs to the stop light. Pin 4 I am assuming is ground and splits into 3 wires. 1 to stop light and 2 to tail light. Am I still able to use you diodes?

I checked with Roadmaster and they have confirmed that the Diode Kit part # RM-154 that you referenced is a fit for your GMC Acadia.

Based on the way you described the wiring of your vehicle it sounds like you have a combined tail light setup. Meaning your brake lights and blinkers are on the same bulb. You would want to follow the chart I attached as well as the FAQ article I attached on how this would wire it.
