Timbren Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question:

Is the Timbren DVRRT suspension kit different than the factory installed load leveling suspension kit that comes with the towing package on a 2014 Grand Caravan ? Is so, what are the differences. Also, the Grand Caravan R/T model has a performance ride vs. a touring ride, which reduces roll and improves handling. The DVRRT also reduces roll. Can you explain the differences that the DVRRT would provide vs. the factory installed performance ride with the load leveling tow package. Thank you,

The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TDVRRT that you referenced is very different from the factory load leveling suspension system you have on your 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. This system is a hollow rubber spring that sits above the axle in the coil spring and takes the place of your bum stops to provide additional suspension support beyond the spring and the load leveling system you have on your vehicle. The factory load leveling system adds air pressure to the shocks of the vehicle to help the vehicle sit level when loaded.

This system provides anti-roll benefits while driving normally, but it's main purpose is to provide load support for the weight of additional cargo in the cargo area of the van. If you are looking for improved handling characteristics for your van when unloaded then the factory performance suspension would be the better option. If you are looking for better anti-roll characteristics when you are loaded with cargo the Timbren system would be a better option. There's also no reason you couldn't run both systems though as they are totally different systems that can work together.

I attached an install video plus an FAQ on Timbren systems for you to check out as well to the right.
