Trunk-Mount Bike Rack Options for a 2014 Ford Fusion

I checked with several of our prominent bike rack makers - Thule, Yakima and Hollywood Racks - and none offers any trunk-mount bike racks for the 2014 Ford Fusion. When this occurs with a vehicle it generally means that the trunk's sheet metal is too delicate to handle the weight of a loaded bike rack and/or that there is a feature, such as a rear spoiler, that prevents a proper fit.
We can offer you an option, however. A Class II trailer hitch such as the Curt # C12091 which bolts on using included hardware, will allow you to use a hitch-type rack to carry up to 4 bikes. A hitch places the weight burden of the rack and bikes on the vehicle's frame - it's strongest part - rather than on its thin sheet metal.
With this hitch in place you can use one of the Class II hitch racks shown on the link provided.
