How to Measure the Diameter and Width of a Trailer Wheel to Pick the Right Tires  

Question:

I have a trailer 41by47 need to move it but has no tires size wheel s are 14.5 are if thats not it how do I find out what size tires do I need?

First I would need to know how you are measuring the wheels. When measuring a wheel you do not measure the overall diameter. I have included a link to a video to the right and in the video our tire and wheel expert shows how to measure. The only reason I bring this up is because 14-1/2 inch wheels are not common.

If it happens to be a 14-1/2 we will not have any tires for that size. You would need to replace the wheels and the tires. To replace the wheels I would need to know the bolt pattern of the wheel, see link to the right, and if the wheels are held on with lug nuts or wheel bolts.

If held on with wheel bolts I would need to know the center hole diameter of the existing wheels.
