Ideally there should be 5 chain links on your Blue Ox weight distribution hitch between the spring bars' ends and the top of the rotating lift brackets. If there are fewer than 5 links you can try adjusting the hitch head back (toward the trailer and away from the tow vehicle) until you have 5 links between them. If this cannot be done you should consider re-installing the system from scratch; the installation instructions are linked for you. For the system to work as intended the angle of the head should be such that you have the 5 links visible. This ensures the system's geometry is correct so it can properly move the trailer tongue weight forward to the tow vehicle's front wheels.
