Tire and Wheel Compatibility on a Small Landscaping Trailer

i purchased a used small landscape trailer. it has 165/R80-13 tires mounted on 14.5 inch wheels. It rides great. is there anything wrong with this combination?

Based on the picture you sent me it looks like everything would be fine, although the fender clearance is pretty tight. But the sizes you list don't quite add up. It sounds like you have a 14.5 inch wheel that you installed a tire designed for a 13 inch wheel, which would not be possible

Did you get the size from the lettering on the sidewall of the trailer?

The R in the original tire size indicates a radial tire. The D in the new tire size indicates it is a bias ply tire. Radial tires usually cost more than bias ply tires but you can use either one provided that it is the right size, which in this case…
