There are only Class I and II hitches with 1-1/4 inch receivers available for your 2013 Scion xB. Since there is an option I always recommend the higher capacity hitch, in this case Class II hitch # C12490. If you plan on doing any towing please consult the vehicle owners manual for the vehicle gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities. The hitch is rated for 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Whichever is lower, the vehicle or the hitch, is the figure you need to go by.

If you plan on using the hitch for something like a bike rack or cargo carrier Curt states that you will have to use a stabilization strap, # 18050, for any non-trailer load.

But for towing, you would not need the strap. For a ball mount use # C45521. Then for a 1-7/8 inch ball use # A-80 and for a 2 inch ball use # A-82. And for trailer wiring use # 118460. I have linked videos showing installations of the hitch and wiring for you.
