Adapter Kit For Signature Series Hitch On 2008 Chevrolet Silverado With Elite Series Under-Bed Rails

I keep seeing varying answers. Do I need this adapter kit for the use of a 24k Signature Series using the 30061 underbed mount on a 2008 2500HD Silverado 8 ft bed? Thanks!

I spoke with my contact at Reese about your 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD. If you have a Signature Series hitch and are planning on using the Reese Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit, part # RP30061, then you will need to use the Reese Signature Series Hitch Adapter, part # RP58419. This is due to the depth of the attach points on the Signature Series Fifth Wheel.
If you decide to use a hitch like the Reese Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, part # RP30922, the # RP58419 is not necessary.
