Will the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System Work on an Aluminum I-Beam Boat Trailer  

Question:

Im thinking of converting my axel and spring trailer to the timbren system. The question I have is my trailer is a alumn. I-beam can bolt the timbren to the I-beam ? Thank You

You may be able to use the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System, # A35RD545, on your aluminum boat trailer as long as you can find a way to bolt it to the frame. The frame brackets for the Timbren Axle-Less systems bolt to the outboard side and bottom of the frame rail. You will need to weld an aluminum plate to the outboard side of the frame for the side bolt holes and you will want to make sure the bolts for the bottom of the frame will not hit the center web of the frame. The underside bolt holes will sit 3-1/8 inches from the outboard side of the frame rail (see photo). Make sure that distance will not interfere with the center of the I-beam frame rail (the web).
