Trailer Tow Package Fuse Locations on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
My vehicle is pre-wired from the factory like is noted in the video for the 2012 grand cherokee that you created. I have installed the same hopkins 7-4 wire connector to the hidden hitch. I am having trouble finding the right fuse location to add the 10a fuse too in the fuse box since the 2014 uses a different layout and smaller size fuses. I am hoping that the problem is as simple as a fuse instead of compatibility issues with the hopkins 40975.

I was looking through an online copy of the owners manual for the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. There are 6 fuses or fuse locations related to the tow package wiring that I could find.
Location/function:
F40 = trailer tow parking light
F43 = trailer turn/brake
F44 = trailer tow 7-Way
F72 = trailer turn/brake
F84 = trailer tow backup lights
F99 = trailer tow module
I believe you will be looking for F44 or F99 but I would check them all and also confirm with your owners manual. Also we have found that adding a 7-Way requires a Jeep dealership to reprogram the vehicle computer. So if you install the fuse or fuses needed and it is still not fully functional that is likely the reason.
