The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55515 is a confirmed fit for your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a tow package. Since the lights worked and don't work any longer, I recommend disconnecting the Curt harness from the factory harness, and checking the pins of the factory harness with a circuit tester like # PTW2993. Also check for bent pins as this can be the cause of a poor connection. If the functions work correctly on that factory harness, then you know the Curt harness might be the issue. Then you can use some dielectric grease like # 11755 to keep moisture and debris out of the connections and reinstall the harness. Check the 4-way using the circuit tester to confirm working function at the trailer connection.
If you don't have function at the factory connection, then you will want to check fuses and relays outlined in your owners manual for trailer function. If there is still an issue, you may want to have a mechanic help you out. The alternative is to use the circuit tester in the fuse locations to ensure you are getting power to the fuse box in those fuse locations going in and out of the fuse. If you get power coming both in and out, you will need to check the wires from the fuse box back to the harness to find the short. If you don't have power coming into the fuse box, you will need to trace wires to locate a short prior to that fuse box.
