Sidewinder Wedge Recommendation for a Husky 16k EZ Roller Fifth Wheel Hitch
Question:
I have a Husky 16k EZ Roller 5th wheel hitch and the existing pin box is the Lippert 1621 which calls for the model RP34FR Sidewinder pin and box. I have read that the universal wedge does not work with this hitch and neither does the SWW-04. Which wedge should I use?

The 5th Airborne Custom Wedge for Husky / Valley Fifth Wheels # SWW-04 should work well on your Husky 16k hitch. We had a customer with the same hitch leave the following review of the # SWW-04.
"I have a Husky 16K W 5th Wheel Hitch and bought a Keystone Cougar that came with a Reese Airborne Sidewinder. I tried using the universal wedge that comes with the Sidewinder but found that there was too much movement so I decided to order the SWW-4 custom wedge for the Husky. I installed it yesterday, it was easy to do, trailer hooks up and releases good, just have to take it for a ride now to let you know how it works."
The only Husky 16k hitch we've heard of difficulties with this wedge is the 16k S model hitches.
Since you have a slider hitch I also want to remind you that you have to leave your hitch in the tow position at all time when towing a trailer with a Sidewinder, otherwise you will damage your tailgate.
