Fixing Muffler Rattling Against Curt Class III Hitch # 13364 on 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan
Question:
I installed the hitch exactly the way it was explained in the video and my muffler is hitting it and make a vibration sounds terrible, what can I do to fix the problem without any disturbance to the rest of the exhaust system or putting any strain on the hangers? 2010 dodge grand caravan ...

What you describe is a fairly common occurrence. The spot where the hitch sits on the vehicle does not vary from Grand Caravans of the same model year. However, since the exhaust system uses flexible rubber isolators and muffler hangers that are easily manipulated, the exact location of the exhaust system can vary quite a bit between vehicles of the same year, make and model.
We've actually come up with a help article that specifically addresses this issue (see provided link), which provides various ways of fixing the problem. Usually, slightly bending a muffler hanger is enough to provide enough space between the muffler and the hitch to prevent the rattle. On some occasions, a different size rubber muffler isolator can be obtained from an auto parts store that will move the muffler further away.
If you're uncomfortable manipulating the exhaust, a muffler shop could do this quickly and fairly inexpensively.
