Availability of Quick-Connect Brake Control Harness for 2012 Chevrolet Silverado
Question:
Which adapter do I need for Tekonsha Primos to plug in to 2012 Chevy Silverado
asked by: William B
Expert Reply:
Your 2012 Silverado has wiring under the dash for connection of your Primus brake controller # TK90160 but it does not have a quick-connect port. Your application will therefore be a hard-wire installation as described in the linked article and video.
The four wires from your Primus will connect to the wires under your dash as follows:
Vehicle Red connects to Controller Black wire
Vehicle Dark Blue connects to Controller Blue wire
Vehicle Light Blue or Orange connects to Controller Red wire
Vehicle White connects to Controller White wire
You will also need to make a few wiring connections within the engine compartment and these are fully illustrated in the linked article.
