Recommended Replacement Jack For A-Frame Trailer
Question:
Hello - Do you have any a-frame jacks that will fit into a 1-7/8inch hole? The one I just removed from my trailer was an Atwood, 1000 lb capacity. Not sure of the model number. I looked at a bunch of your jacks, but only saw a minimum of 2inch OD. Thanks!

Helpful Expert Reply:
A majority of the A-frame jacks we offer have a 2-1/4 inch diameter outer tube. Those remain fairly consistent for jacks that range from 750 lbs to 5000 lbs weight capacity. We currently do not offer any jacks with a 1-7/8 inch diameter outer tube.
If you decide you would like to replace the attach plate you currently have and install a new jack I recommend part # BD003135 for the support plate that can either be welded or bolted to the trailer frame.
The jack I recommend is the Bulldog Round, Topwind A-Frame Jack, part # BD155022. This jack has a 2,000 weight capacity and a lift of 15 inches.
If you install a heavier jack like part # BD155032, it is easier to crank and lift the trailer.
The footplate I recommend for this jack is part # BD018564. If you prefer a caster for the jack, I recommend part # BD500245.
