How to Identify Replacement Hub for Trailer
Question:
I cannot find a axle hub that will fit the spindle on my trailer. The outside bearing measures 1.25 inches and the inside bearing measures 1.380 inches. Can you help me locate hubs for this axle? I am not concerned with the lug pattern.

It is possible to identify replacement trailer components such as hubs through precise measurements with digital caliper (to the nearest thousandth of an inch), but the easier and more accurate method is to use the original bearing part numbers. The linked article will illustrate how to remove your hubs to get the bearing numbers and the included photo will show you the typical location and appearance of those part numbers.
Once you have your bearing numbers you can use the link provided to select the type of hub you need (idler, hub-with-drum or hub-with rotor) and use the bearing numbers in the left-hand margin to find hubs that will fit your spindles. We recommend that you replace your bearings and seals along with the installation of the new hub.
The included article and video will help illustrate the process.
