Proportional Trailer Brake Controller for Motor Home with a 2001 Freightliner Chassis
Question:
I saw a reply that Reno gave about wiring a brake controller to a Freightliner chassis. I have a 2001 Tradewinds with a Turbo Cat pusher and a Freightliner chassis. He mentioned he sent installation video links to the inquirer. Could you send me those links as well as informing me if you still recommend the Prodigy 2 for this application or is the newer P3 a better choice? I will be towing a dual tandem tow dolly 2 motorcycle cruisers and a Ford Focus approximate total weight with trailer is 5000 lb. Thank you for your time.

The Prodigy P2 Brake controller would still be an excellent choice for you. The brake controller we recommend the most is the part # 90885. This is the best selling controller on the market because of how easy it is to setup and use, and how well it works. I would strongly recommend it for you. The P3 part # 90195 functions the same but it has a few more options like customizable screen with a full read out and the ability to save trailer presets.
The same links that Reno sent the guy in the question you mentioned are attached just to the right of this message. You should see a thumbnail of videos titled: Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser."
