2008 ford f550 super duty with western 9ft hauler bed with air ride Can the reese 30143 25k hitch be readily mounted to this type bed? What mounting kit components would be required?

Expert Reply:
Since your 2008 Ford F-550 is a medium duty truck there are no custom underbed installation kits that will fit. You would have to have a custom installation performed by a qualified fabricator. These means that one of the other kits, such as # RP30073, would have to be modified which will void the warranty.
A better option is to use the Reese low-profile hitch # RP30054. This hitch will also require a custom installation but you would not have to worry about voiding any warranties because that is what it was designed for. I have linked a video review and the instructions for you.
