Wet Nut and Bolt to Use with Winnebago Trailer Suspension

Question:

Hi, 2018 Winnebago 25RKS 5th wheel, tandem axle. I had my shackles upgraded to the Dexter heavy duty shackles and wet bolts with bronze bushings last year. Today I was inspecting the suspension and saw that the bolts at the fixed ends of all the springs are not wet bolts, so Im thinking they did not replace those. What part number do I need for the bolts and bushings and nuts? The hanger measure 2 5/16 outside-to-outside. Thx

Hey Daniel, that's a bummer to hear they didn't do all of the work you paid them to. For wet bolts we have the # 126B2 which comes with a nut. To pick out a bushing though I would need to know the outer and inner diameter of what you have currently on the spring.

The i.d. of the spring eye is 0.75", although it looks like it may be rounded out a bit at the edges. The thin metal sleeve/bushing in there has an o.d. of 0.72". Thanks

@Daniel Looks like you'd want the # SP05-060 which is a set of 6 bushings that match the outer diameter you need of .75 inch and the inner diameter of the wet bolt I recommended.

I was expecting to use bronze bushings with the wet bolt. I thought the nylons were for non-wet bolts, which I already have. But, I see that the bronze bushings seem to be 11/16" o.d., rather than the 3/4" I measured. But, I think the spring eye may be a bit rounded on the outer edge and my caliper can only reach in about 1/4", so it's possible the spring eye is only 11/16. Which is the more typical spring eye id, 11/16 or 3/4? Thx

@Daniel Good catch, yeah the 11/16 inch size is the most popular. We have that in bronze with the part # K71-291-00.
