Replacement Hub and Drum Assembly for 2001 Hudson Tandem Axle Trailer
Question:
I have a 2001 Hudson 10K twin axle trailer that uses old mobile home style 8x14.5 wheels/tires. Is there a drum replacement that is available to allow the use of more traditions wheel/ radial tires?

There may be a replacement but you will need to identify your axles to find out what is compatible. You can check the axle tag to see if there is a serial number which the manufacturer could use to identify it. You could also pull off your hub and drum assembly to check the bearings. The bearings may have parts stamped into the side or you can measure the inner diameter with a digital caliper like # PTW80157.
For example, if you found that you had a # L68149 inner and # L44649 outer bearing you could use the # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K as a replacement which has a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern. I have attached a link below to all of our available hub and drum assemblies which can be sorted by bolt pattern, capacity, and bearings.

Thanks, I'll have to pull a hub a measure, there are no tags, since it's a 10k trailer I was looking at AKHD-655-6K hubs with 15" wheels/tires..
