Will Demco SBS Stay N Play Override Stoplight Circuit of Tow Bar Lighting
Question:
How does this work with existing light kit? I have 2020 Jeep Gladiator with an installed Road Master light kit. What happens when Jeeps brake lights go on when already wired to RVs stop lights? Also, how long before system drains toad battery? Can I use my rvs hot line to keep toads battery charged?

Expert Reply:
If your 2020 Jeep Gladiator activates the brake lights when the brake pedal is pressed with the key off then with the install of the SMI DUO part # SM99251 you will also need to install the brake lite relay part # RM-88400 so that the stoplights of the vehicle do not override the taillight circuits of the tow bar lighting kit you have installed.
Its hard to say how long the battery would last but you can use the charge kit part # RM-156-25 to keep the battery topped off when travelling.
