What Gen-Y 5th-Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box do You Recommend for My 3,500 Pound Tongue Weight?

Question:

I am interested in purchasing the Gen Y gooseneck 5th wheel adapter for my 2021 Alliance Paradigm 310RL with a factory Pin weight of 2,530LB. I anticipate this Pin weight will increase significantly with modifications and added accessories like solar and a washer dryer in the front closet. Im not sure which model Gen Y to purchase and I see that some of them have varying pin weights from 2,500 to 5,500. So maybe I need the 3,500 model? Also, I have read that I may need some adapter plates because the width may be too narrow on my rig? Any help you can provide so I can purchase the correct items on the first attempt will be appreciated! Thank you

Thanks so much for including pictures of your setup! We confirmed that the brackets that you have for your provided serial number correspond to a 1621 Lippert bracket. With this bracket setup and the fact that you are going to add additional accessories to your trailer, I recommend the 3,500 pound Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - Lippert 1621/1621 HD # GY58GR. With this Gen-Y hitch, you will not need any additional mounting bracket adapter. The great thing about this model is that it comes with an auto latch that automatically engages the hitch ball when it enters the socket.

With this new setup, you will need safety chains like the Tow Ready Safety Chain Kit with Clevis Hooks - 44" Long - 16,000 lbs # 49150. These chains will give you the safety and peace of mind you need while towing.
