Will Replacement Grease Seal 21325 Fit an Old Star Line Axle
Question:
I have an old Star Line axle I need a couple seals for. The od is 3.25 3.26 x 2.25 on axle spindle. It also has goodyear stamped into the hub. There is also a 4097 stamped one place. Will the 21325 seal work for me?

Expert Reply:
The Grease Seal # 21325 you're looking at has an inner diameter of 2.125" and an outer diameter of 3.269". It looks like the outer diameter will work for your Star Line axle but the inner diameter looks to be a bit too small.
The only other seal that's close to your size is the Grease Seal # GS-2250DL which has a 2.250" inner diameter, but the outer diameter is 3.376" so it won't fit either.
I recommend double checking your dimensions just to make sure, and if neither of these grease seals match then you'll either have to find a place that makes custom grease seals or we'll need to look into getting you a different spindle or axle that works with more standard sizes.
