Does Tongue Weight Change On a Loaded Trailer

I was talking about Weight Distribution hitches and you said load trailer and get it weighed to find out the tongue weight. The two trailers Im looking at have a manufacturer tongue weight of 325 and the other at 400 lbs. Does loading the trailer up with gear change the tongue weight? Both trailers weight about 3000lbs dry .

Yes it can change, which is why it's required for you to load your trailer and then get it weighed. You can either take this to a scale to get weighed or use the etrailer Tongue Weight Scale for Campers and Utility Trailers # e99044 and o it yourself.
