2024 Toyota Sienna Trailer Hitch and 4-Bike Rack Recommendations
Question:
I want to add a hitch to my 2024 Toyota Sienna so I can carry 4 bikes with us this summer for camps and vacation. What hitch and bike rack do you recommend? I see some of the hitches have different weight ratings. Does a higher rating mean the hitch is better? Help please!

Hitch weight capacity can make a difference, but in your case your 2024 Toyota Sienna is only rated to tow up to a 3,500 lb trailer and since that's the base rating for all of the hitches that fit your vehicle, it really boils down to preference.
I recommend going with the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e56RR because the matte black finish serves a dual-purpose; it looks better and is more durable than the classic glossy black finish we see with the other hitch fitments for your vehicle.
Then for a bike rack the Thule Apex Swing XT # TH9027XT is my top recommendation for your application. The cradles have a larger spacing between them than the standard spacing a lot of hanging racks have which means you'll have an easier time loading bikes, and then the swinging arm means you have full access to your rear hatch without having to unload any of the bikes. This swinging arm alone is a huge benefit in my experience. I've only used a standard hanging rack at the back of my minivan and it makes it inconvenient to get at any cargo towards the back of the van during trips.
Attached are some videos of the hitch and bike rack as well as a photo of the hitch installed on a 2022 Sienna for you to check out!
