Will Hellwig Helper Springs Impact Ride Quality on 2016 Toyota Tundra

Question:

I have a 2016 toyota tundra 4*4. I have a 7500lb camper with a 1450 tongue weight. Looking for some overload springs to help to level the camper. But.. I dont want to affect the comfort ride when unloaded. Will this springs work for me.

The Hellwig Pro Series Helper Springs # HE49FR are going to give you a stiffer ride when installed. These are a heavy-duty application with a weight capacity of 2,500 lbs. A better option that would have less of an impact would be the Hellwig EZ-990 Helper Springs # HE86VR. These aren't as robust and have a weight capacity of 2,000 lbs.

If you use the minimum adjustment when installing the Hellwig springs the impact will be less than the max. Both will give you that support you're looking for to help keep you level, but since you're concerned about ride quality they aren't the best option in my opinion.

If it was my truck and camper setup I would add the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2445 over other options. These have a 4,800 lb load-leveling capacity which will get that camper level and help smooth out the ride. Since they're fully adjustable you can get them just right no matter what you're towing or hauling.

The other great thing about air bags is you can take them down to the minimum psi of 5 when not in use. This means there will be absolutely no impact on your unloaded ride quality. If you want to be able to make adjustments from the cab wherever you go you can also add an air compressor like the # F2158.

I have attached some review and installation videos below for your reference.
