Replacement 1998 PJ Utility Trailer Hub with QRG 3G and 84000 Stamped Into Hub

Question:

I have a 1998 model single axle PJ utility trailer that needs replacement bearings and hubs. The information engraved on the rear of the left hub is QRG, 3G, and 84000. The bolt pattern appears to be 5 x 5.5 based on my attempts to measure. The distance between the center of adjacent bolts is very close to 3.25. The wheel diameter is 15. It appears to me that your # 84555UC1 or # AKIHUB-555-35-K would work. I have photos of the spindle and the old hub if that would help. What do you think? Thank you!

According to all of the information you gave me, it does sound like the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3,500-lb Axles # AKIHUB-555-35-K will be a fit for your trailer.

I did have trouble looking up specifics for the part numbers you sent in though so I recommend doing a few things just to make sure it will work prior to purchasing. If you can verify that your axle is rated for 3,500 lbs then that means the hub will fit just fine. If you can't find a tag near the tongue of your trailer of in the middle of the axle with a weight rating then the next best thing to do is to pull a hub and look for bearing numbers and measure the spindle where the grease seal sits so we know the parts that come with this hub are compatible:

- Inner Bearing L68149
- Outer Bearing L44649
- Grease Seal Inner Diameter of 1.719"
