Replacement Rooftop AC Units For A 3-Unit Dometic AC System

Question:

I have a 2007 42foot Monaco Camelot with tag axle, it has three Duo Therm model 630035.331 roof air conditioners with heat pumps. They are connected to the 5 button comfort control thermostat. Do you have a replacement AC unit that would be a plug and play solution? It appears you may but I cant determine if my thermostat will work with both the two remaining AC units as well as with a replacement unit. Thank You for your assistance and great support.

Since you have a 6-pin connector you'd be able to swap out just the rooftop units with the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner # ACDOM150 you were looking at. You'll be keeping the air distribution boxes and wall thermostat, but will lose your heat pump function since these units do not include heat pumps.

To replace the units you'll need to remove the cover of the air distribution box and unscrew the four bolts that hold the rooftop unit. You can then remove the old unit and swap in the new one and bolt it down and connect the wire harness to your air distribution box's control unit. If the control unit is mounted to the old rooftop unit instead of the air distribution box then you'll need to do a bit of DIY to remount it so it fits with your new units. The control unit is the brains of the system so as long as you have the correct connector to plug into it you shouldn't have any communication issues with the wall thermostat and new rooftop units.
