Adding 4-Way to Rear of Travel Trailer for Bike Rack Lighting Kit
Question:
Vehicle: 2021 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali with trailering package 1. We have a travel trailer 34 ft. that has a fold-down rack on the back that we put 2 e-bikes on. Is there an extension available that we can put the light bar on the bikes, but the 7-way connector is on the back of the truck which would be probably 40+ feet away. 2. I read that sometimes with newer vehicles, I might need a 4-pin flat to 7-pin round adapter that has a resister so that I dont get dashboard warnings or incorrect functionality. What is the part # for that item.

What you would need to do is install a 4-way at the rear of your travel trailer that taps into it's trailer lighting circuits. For that you'd want the # 18252 which will give you a 4-way for the Hollywood Racks bike rack light kit part # HLY54RR. Running an extension wire from your tow vehicle would be pretty challenging and wouldn't work as well.
