Recommended Hitch and 7-Way Connector for a 2024 Kia Sportage

I have a Saris Door County bike rack that requires a specific plug to power the lift. I just got a 2024 Kia Sportage and need to install a 2 hitch and the correct wiring to use this bike rack. Thank you

Congrats on the new vehicle! The Saris Door County Bike Rack item # SAR42RR requires a 7-way connector to power the lift function. To add one to your 2024 Kia Sportage you will need two separate wiring harnesses because they do not have just one available that will do the job.
The first harness you'll need is the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C99DR. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your Kia's wiring harness, which is located behind your tail lights. This will provide you with a 4-flat connector.
The second harness you will need is the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller item # ETBC7. The kit includes a pre-wired 7- and 4-way trailer connector that mounts easily at the rear of your vehicle with an included bracket. This kit is designed for use on a vehicle with an existing 4-way flat trailer connector and plugs directly into it.
To add a 2" hitch to your 2024 Sportage, I recommend the etrailer item # e38KR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Kia with included hardware. It is a class III hitch, with a 2" receiver, it has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity, and a 525 lbs maximum tongue weight.
I really like this hitch because the crossbar mounts behind your bumper cover which leaves only the 2" receiver visible. This not only helps the look of your Kia but it also improves ground clearance.
