Recommend Hitch for a 48" Hitch Extender on a 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 w/ an In Bed Camper

I just got a 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 that I am adding an in bed camper too. I would like to use a 48" extension to tow my cargo trailer but I do not see one strong enough for my factory hitch. What hitch do I need to use one of the Torklift extensions?

Congrats on the new truck! To use the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension 48" Long item # TLE1548 with your 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 you are going to want the TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver item # TL74FR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Sierra with included hardware.

I really like this hitch because it has both a 2" and 2-1/2" receiver and a large towing capacity of 20,000 lbs without a weight distribution system. The stacked receivers give you multiple options for ball mounts and also allow you to tow a trailer and use a hitch mounted accessory like a bike rack.

The 48" long TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension item # TLE1548 has a maximum gross trailer weight of 6,000 lbs that can increase to 12,000 lbs when used with a weight distribution system.

I also recommend the TorkLift Wiring Harness Extension item # TLW6048. This will extend your Sierra's 7-way connector the 48" length of the extension to connect to your cargo trailer.

If you use the Curt hitch extender part #C45048 in the 24 inch length with a weight distribution system the towing capacity is 8,000 lbs. If the 24 inch length would work for you this would be a great option.

I'm assuming your 2024 F-250 has the 6-3/4' bed. If that is correct, the right tie-downs are in fact the #TLF3008 and #TL77CR. TorkLift has accounted for the bed access steps on the 2024 model and confirmed these will fit your truck.
