Does Bumper Beam Get Reinstalled When Installing etrailer Trailer Hitch on 2023 Tesla Model 3

Re: 2023 tesla model 3 rwd - hitch install question For the etrailer hitch receiver install the bumper beam is shown as being reinstalled. But, on some of the other hitch videos i saw that the bumper beam is tossed away and NOT reinstalled. The bumper beam looks like it might not be necessary because the horizontal part of the etrailer hitch would act as a bumper in a crash. Could you save some weight by tossing the curved bumper beam- or would you be endangering the crash worthiness of the tesla?

You definitely want to reinstall the bumper beam on your 2023 Tesla Model 3 when installing the hitch that fits:
- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e33ZR
The hitch does not replace the bumper beam for impact structure so reinstalling it is the safest thing to do.
