7-Way For 2018 Ford Explorer That Doesn't Have Connectors Behind Passenger Tires
Question:
I have a 2018 Ford Explorer Base model. I pruchased the 13386 hitch and the 56306 wiring harness. The instructions for the harness say to disconnect the factory harness behind the rear passenger tire and the new one. However, my vehicle ony has a single female harness. I is not a two part one that can be disconnected. Neither of the ends on the new harness can attach to the factory harness. Any idea on what harness will connect to my vehicle?

If there aren't the two connectors behind the rear tire on your 2018 Ford Explorer the only thing I can think of is you have the factory tow package with a round connector behind the rear bumper. If so you would need the Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connectors # 74682.
